@RIDisneyPinGuy That sounds like a great plan! We will be cheering you on!
Last night I was back on the Dreadmill simply because it was too hot and humid outside. I listened to The Dis recap of of D23 while running which made time go by much faster for my ‘baby run’.
2.07 miles
20:50Dinner was 2 cups of homemade white chicken chili, with 10 tortilla chips. Dessert was a handful of Red Raspberries

July 19, 2017 at 7:41 am #39512@ridisneypinguy Great plan! Best wishes getting started!
@Acamm Way to keep on keepin’ on, even with the dreadmill! Chicken chili sounds great!Yesterday I was able to complete my paced walk/run as planned! Over the course of my 30-minute workout, I covered 2.22 miles for about a 13:29 per mile average pace. Marked improvement! Next paced walk/run is hopefully Thursday after work!
July 19, 2017 at 7:46 am #39514Way to go @rocketear99! You’re already faster than I am
I planned on running yesterday, but I was home sick (I swear, if I get one more stomach bug this year I’m going to lose my mind!) so no running for me. I’m going to see how my energy levels are this afternoon and how much I’m able to eat today. I might just stick to walking today, just so I get some exercise in

RIDisneyPinGuy182 XPThanks, all…
Did not get up as early as I wanted to. My truck had a good night last night, but the other one in the station was sent out 3 times after midnight, so sleep escaped me.
Woke up at 6 and was on the dreadmill for 6:15. Lots of coughing during my walk, and I feel pretty beat at the moment (mainly my back & ribs).30 minutes for 1.94 miles at 2% incline… a start at least.
Steel cut oats with PB Fit and dark cocoa bakers chocolate for breakfast. Lots of water today.July 19, 2017 at 7:53 am #39516@kcboston Knowing me, my next run will be slower Hope you feel better soon :| That is wise, taking it easy after getting sick. I made the mistake of over exerting myself after an illness a couple of times. It landed me right back in bed with cold sweats. No fun.
July 19, 2017 at 7:56 am #39517@ridisneypinguy First run is never as fast as I’d like. You did great for starting out! The important thing is that we actually get started!
July 19, 2017 at 8:08 am #39519@Acamm great job on the hamster wheel! It’s always more fun outside but weather dictates that unfortumately.
@RocketEAR99 awesome workout! Very speedy!
@RIDisneyPinGuy great job getting going at all! Especially with little sleep and recovering, you did awesome!
@kcboston ugh, those stomach bugs. Walking is fine enough, don’t push it too hard, anything is better than nothing. I hope you feel all back to rights very soon.July 19, 2017 at 8:23 am #39525

It is great seeing everybody staying committed and working hard. I think it is a good motivator for all of us here.

I agree. Just seeing the activity on this thread helped get me started!
July 19, 2017 at 9:21 am #39558Wow this thread is really picking up! Hard to keep up! I got my first run of the week in today. I try not to run back to back days, but once again that will be happening this week. I haven’t been sleeping good so I needed to set that right before waking up early to run.
Leia and I did 1 mile this morning in 14:03. I’ve started to run a little more, I did 0.25 mile walk, 0.25 mile run, then split the third lap between walking and running, then I ran the last 0.25 mile. I also brought a few treats with me today so that when Leia got bored I was able to get her motivated again. It adds to my time when I have to spend 20-30 seconds at the end of each lap encouraging her to keep going. But she did a little better today, getting bored after 2 laps instead of one

Great job getting a run in, even if it was on the dreadmill! You are speedy!!! Wow, your dinner sounds good!!!
July 19, 2017 at 7:35 pm #39752Great job and great improvement too!! Keep up the great work!

I’m sorry to hear you got the stomach bug again!!! That really stinks! I’m a bit susceptible to them sometimes, I know the struggle. My probiotics usually keep my immune system a little stronger though. Take it very slow getting back to it! Your body just went through a lot! Walks for the next few days to allow your body to recover!
