    Thanks everyone.

I guess I have to accept that I cant stay up all night, work all day and party all evening anymore. LOL

What is everyone doing for lunch? I had 4 oz grilled venison, 2.6 oz grilled chicken, and 8 oz of Albacore Tuna with some NC BBQ sauce (vinegar based). 103 g of Protein and 15 g of fat.

Haha! Are you getting old, Matt?!?! LOL ;) I can barely stay awake all day most days! LOL And I never feel bad when I fall asleep at 9:30pm! We get up at 5:15am most days for our runs in the summer.
You rock your Nutrition! I’m not great at that or counting! LOL I’m having Chick-fil-a nuggets and salad! Then a huge Starbucks coffee!!

Chick-Fil-A. Mmmm-Mmmm! I’m in the same boat, I’m happy when I can pull an all-dayer! LOL

No way is my lunch nearly as healthy as Matt’s but I did have an apple for my morning snack!

These all-dayers are gettingbharder!! LOL Every Tuesday for lunch is CFA!!! My favorite! Good job having an apple!!! It’s all about balance, right?! LOL

Great job @eeyorepoohfan! Your time is decreasing, that is awesome! Poor Winnie with the storms. :( I’m glad she was able to sleep with you guys for comfort and that it went pretty well.

Thanks!! I was surprisingly feeling good and strong today!!! I was pushing hard to see how far I could get before Ryan caught me! Yes, poor Winnie. There was so much lightning! But she settled right away once we let her in our room.

    My lunch today:
    2 cups mixed greens
    1 cup kale
    1/2 cucumber
    1/2 green pepper
    4 cherry tomatoes
4 oz grilled boneless chicken breast seasoned with Olive Oil,Garlic Powder and Italian Seasoning
2 Tablespoons Newman’s Own Balsamic Vinegarette
All tossed together in a bowl for a delicious and filling salad!

My afternoon snack is a bowl of fresh pineapple…. And of course a cup of coffee :coffee:

Tonight for dinner we are having white chicken chili

Yum!!! You are a super healthy eater!! I love salads but can’t eat them the day before a run. So due to our training, there aren’t many days I can have them! I feel a bit saladed out right now. I ate them nearly daily for quite a while. So now they just don’t sound as good.

@eeyorepoohfan Yeah I’m a salad girl… I throw different proteins in every day. If you don’t mind me asking, why do you not eat salads the day before a run??? :(

My day is not going according to plan. My niece slept over and I thought I’d be able to get a run in early before all the kids got up.
    Nope.
Son was up extra early today.
OK, so we’ll hit the beach early and then I’ll run this afternoon.
    Nope
The kids all moved like a sloth this morning and no one wanted to leave the house. Instead, I found myself slingin’ waffles.
OK, so I’ll run after the kids eat and then maybe they’ll all be ready to head out.
    Nope
My running leggings, the ones with the pocket for my phone so I can listen to my beats ;) , were still in the laundry basket. Allllrighty then. Let’s put on a load of laundry, shall we?!
Now it’s lunch. Feed the kids, and grab a couple cold breaded pork cutlets from last nights dinner and a slice of provolone for me. Lunch of champions.
As soon as the laundry is done, I’m running.
    Nope
I get a text message from a friend, who is going to the beach, and wants my kids to come. Well, that certainly lit a fire under everyone! Now they are scrambling to get their stuff together and I’m looking at MAYBE running tonight.
    Yeah, no.
My brother will be coming to pick up my niece, and I see a few brew-ha-has in my future.
Maybe I’ll just try again tomorrow

I did NOT have a runner’s lunch today! That’s for ding dang sure! Chicken and Cheese enchiladas, spanish rice and guacamole ;)

I wish I was a salad girl like you!! I have an auto immune issue (psoriasis) and it causes improper absorption issues with foods. So unfortunately, the “roughage” aspect of a salad is way to intense on my gut, especially an entree sized salad. So I get a lot of gut pain and GI distress. Not a good thing when you are out on a run! At a race, it honestly wouldn’t be a huge deal since there are porta pots pretty frequently! But on our trail at home, the bathrooms are pretty far apart and inside restaurants/stores. I have to be very careful what I eat the day before a run. It’s not fun, but I’ve gotten pretty used to it!

@missingWDW That was quite the derailed day for sure!! But I’m optimistic that tomorrow will be better!

Did not start on the planned day, as I had hoped.

I am setting my alarm for a 5am walk on the dreadmill. It is a start. Starting very slow and very easy getting back into things.

Tomorrow starts training. Getting back on-track nutrition wise, and exercising in some shape or form. I spent tonight filling out my training calendar to the end of the year. I am going to do the Jenny Hadfield 5k Run/Walk plan to start, and followed by her 10 Run/Walk, with a break of random easy runs from just before Christmas to the New Year. The training plan is practical for work/school, realistic for my current fitness level, and challenging enough to make improvements to my current condition. Next step is training plans for strength-days.

I found out that we should be receiving a new treadmill to replace the one I killed at my station sometime in the next couple months. :) That should help come the winter months.

My goals are to PR a 5k by next June, PR a 10K next October, and run a sub 2:20 half by October. Baby steps first… Let’s see if I can roll out of bed in the morning! :p

@RIDisneyPinGuy, starting with a single step, good plan! You can do it!

Thanks. I think it will be frustrating the first few weeks, but once I am in the swing and improving I can hopefully ride the adrenaline wave.
