Thanks, all…
Did not get up as early as I wanted to. My truck had a good night last night, but the other one in the station was sent out 3 times after midnight, so sleep escaped me.
Woke up at 6 and was on the dreadmill for 6:15. Lots of coughing during my walk, and I feel pretty beat at the moment (mainly my back & ribs).30 minutes for 1.94 miles at 2% incline… a start at least.
Steel cut oats with PB Fit and dark cocoa bakers chocolate for breakfast. Lots of water today.I’m sorry sleep escaped you last night. But I’m proud of you for getting up and hitting the dreadmill! Try to get to your chiropractor when you can! That’s a pretty impressive pace, especially for your current health status! Breakfast sounds yummy!
July 19, 2017 at 7:41 pm #39755Wow this thread is really picking up! Hard to keep up! I got my first run of the week in today. I try not to run back to back days, but once again that will be happening this week. I haven’t been sleeping good so I needed to set that right before waking up early to run.
Leia and I did 1 mile this morning in 14:03. I’ve started to run a little more, I did 0.25 mile walk, 0.25 mile run, then split the third lap between walking and running, then I ran the last 0.25 mile. I also brought a few treats with me today so that when Leia got bored I was able to get her motivated again. It adds to my time when I have to spend 20-30 seconds at the end of each lap encouraging her to keep going. But she did a little better today, getting bored after 2 laps instead of one
I think there’s something in the air with sleep! Way to still get out there! I’m glad you found at least some encouragement and motivation for Leia! Maybe she will warm up to this running in a circle thing!
July 19, 2017 at 7:44 pm #39759July 19, 2017 at 8:17 pm #39769We took the dog on a 1.25 mile walk. Then went to the gym and I did 100 flights of stairs in 30:15!! I shaved off nearly 2 minutes! I was drenched when I was done!
Superstar rocking those stairs! You are awesome lady!

Thanks. Did okay today nutrition wise, but not great. Swapped trucks with one of the other guys and kinda got stranded on lunch. White bread and chicken is not all that great. Made up for it at dinner- lemon grilled chicken breast with fresh broccoli and red onion roasted on the grill, and a sweet potato.
Got good news from the training officer, the station treadmill was fixed (allegedly ). He asked me to put it through its paces tomorrow. I will be setting my alarm again, and will try a walk/run program of 3 min walk : 2 min run for 20 min [plus w/u & c/d]. Hopefully positive stuff to post in the morning.
Also, I do not dare see my chiro until I do planks, bird dogs, and bridges for at least a week… don’t want to get on his bad side :p
July 19, 2017 at 8:58 pm #39777@nascfan Thank you!!!!!!!!
July 19, 2017 at 9:02 pm #39779@RIDisneyPinGuy not every meal can be on target! Way to get a good dinner in though!
Fingers crossed that the dreadmill was actually fixed!!! Sounds like you have a good plan in place for morning!!!
Haha!! Don’t get on your chiro’s badside young man!!! But don’t delay too long! Your body is all out of whack from you being sick!

July 20, 2017 at 7:20 am #39798So I did end up running yesterday, even though I wasn’t feeling 100%. When I stepped on the treadmill all I could think was
But I figured I’d see if I could get 30 minutes in. My main goal for the time was to not push myself too hard, and even if I had to walk the whole thing, that would be better than nothing. However, if I was feeling alright, then I was shooting for 2 miles. I know that’s a mixed up set of goals, but my main goal was to get a little bit of exercise and not be fixated on making “progress”.
I ended up feeling better than I anticipated, kept a ratio of 3 minutes running/ 2 minutes of walking. Except on the last one, I ran the whole 5 minutes because I had the 5 minute cooldown coming up after.
Final Stats:
30 minutes
2.070 milesJuly 20, 2017 at 7:22 am #39799
10dedfish177 XP@kcboston, great job keeping at it in the face of upset tummy! Way to finish up as well!
July 20, 2017 at 7:24 am #39800My run last night was indoors again, and was actually a good one.
My legs felt strong, my pace was perfect, and my breathing was on point. I was listening to the Tim Tracker and his wife Jen Tracker’s D23 WDW confirmed updates on their daily Youtube post … and time just slipped away from me. Before I knew it, I was at 2.3 miles. I could have kept going, but the doorbell rang and it was Kevins Aunt delivering me flowers for my birthday I was forced to greet her with sweat rolling down my face, neck, back, while she embraced me into a full hug. :| Not awkward at all……. :|
2.32 miles
22:10Happy Thursday Youse Guys!
