Listen to other Supporter Playlists

Ever since the release of supporters being able to create unlimited custom playlists, I have been asked “Can we listen to other people’s custom playlists?”. Well, the answer is… YES! It’s so simple to do. Go visit another supporter’s profile (or maybe you’re already there wishing them a magical birthday) and you will see their list of custom playlists. Click on the button “Listen” and the jukebox will load up with that playlist ready for you. Take a look at the playlists drawer, you’ll notice you’ll be able to listen to that person’s other playlists too (if they have multiple). If you have any issues, try clearing your b... »

Rivers of Light: Cast Preview

Last night I was delighted to accept the invitation to see a cast preview of Rivers of Light at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We entered the park around 8:15PM to cast members at the turnstiles checking for the special “Cast Preview” ticket. There are two sides to sit on, Asia and Dinoland. We were seated at Asia. The event opened at 7:30PM and the preview started at 8:30PM so we had a few minutes to spare. We took our seats which were very close together. I had a woman sitting in front of me and I had to open my legs to avoid hitting her back. I’m 6’1″ with big knees, but they were definitely close. I assume they did this in order to seat more people into the ... »

Happy Birthday, Walt Disney

Walt’s Legacy There’s a lot that can be said about this magnificent man so I’m going to make this short and sweet. I started to become a huge Disney fan the first time I visited Walt Disney World in 1986 with my family. We traveled there every year since then and I could not help but feel the magic in the air. It was more apparent as I got older. Walt practiced what he preached: follow our dreams. All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. He had his dream of creating a fun-loving, family-friendly place where people from around the world could visit and step away from reality. That’s what makes it so awesome; it pulls you from the stress and ... »

Security and Your Account

One of the reasons I switched this site over to a new platform was so that I could take advantage of the better security offered by the various software I use. Since the switchover, I’ve blocked over 25 IPs that were trying to brute force into the site. To increase security, I will be adding an SSL certificate to the site before January 1, 2017. How will this affect you? It will ensure that the data you pass between your network and the server is encrypted and secure. Modern web browsers are stepping up their game when it comes to security. Chrome will be the first and they announced that starting in January of 2017 they will include a new warning for unencrypted login sites. I will ma... »

Happy 88th Birthday, Mickey Mouse

Mickey Mouse made his debut in 1928 where he first was seen in a single test screening (Plane Crazy). Mickey officially debuted in the short film Steamboat Willie (1928), one of the first sound cartoons1. Chelle and I celebrated Mickey’s birthday by visiting Epcot. It was a beautiful day with barely any clouds and the sun was shining bright. As you entered the park, cast members were waiting with big buckets (similar to the ones they use for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party) and handing out birthday pins. On it was a picture of the new Mickey style and “#HappyBirthdayMickey” which they did so guests would use the hash tag on when posting to social media. Desserts... »
