Friday 03 January
The day was wet, but we went for a paced workout at the local park anyway. It was warm-ish though, and misting lightly, so it wasn’t bad at all. We finished right around sunset having run for 0:30:00. We went 2.51 miles for a pace of 11’58″/mile. Definitely starting to take it easy as we get really close to Dopey
Full stats: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/4400281498We plan on doing 1 more training run: 7.0 miles on Sunday!
January 4, 2020 at 6:51 pm #122608@RocketEAR99 Thanks, don’t leave me behind!
January 4, 2020 at 6:56 pm #122609I ran again last night, trying to establish somewhat of a routine before I leave so it’s not such a shock to the system to run for 4 consecutive days next week. It was a little chilly at 44* but I’d warmed up some by mile 2. At least it wasn’t raining! I ran solo around my neighborhood. Very uneventful.
Time: 53:45
Distance: 5.00 miles
Pace: 10’44”I plan on one final run tomorrow before
January 4, 2020 at 6:56 pm #122610We plan on doing 1 more training run: 7.0 miles on Sunday!
Same here!
January 4, 2020 at 7:49 pm #122611@rocketear99 awesome job! I’ve notice how much faster you’ve become on your paced workouts, you are doing amazing!
@starbee super job on that run! You are so fast, you can slow way down, still meet characters and be just fine. You are so much more ready than you think you are!Good luck to all of you tomorrow on your 7 milers! I’ll be cheering you! You got this!

We completed our final training run before Dopey!!! We went to the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal and ran 7.0 miles. It was blustery when we got started and when we finished but as the trail worked its way around the bend, the wind tapered off, so most of the run was quite calm which was nice because it was 41* out and that wind chill can really drive things down! We completed the run in 1:25:06 for a pace of 12’09″/mile! Great way to finish our Dopey Training
Full stats: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/4405212534We get a 3-day running break and then onward to the Dopey Challenge!
January 5, 2020 at 7:56 pm #122625Awesome job @rocketear99! Way to round out the training! Dopey Challenge look out, it’s going to get shredded by you!
January 6, 2020 at 9:59 am #122637@rocketear99 Bravo on finishing your training I’ll see you out there!
January 6, 2020 at 10:14 am #122638I made it out yesterday for my final run before Dopey!
I ran at the trail again which is scenic at the best of times but even better when I’m used to running around the very unscenic and obstacle filled neighborhood. The weather was 56* with 20 mph winds (almost the same as New Year’s Day – how does that happen?!) which felt chilly last time so I wore long pants and a long sleeved shirt. Well it was pretty sunny and I got super hot during the first couple miles even with the wind, and that plus my legs feeling like lead for some reason made it start out as a struggle run. But the sun was slowly winding down so it did get chillier so I leveled out and by mile 3 I was fine. I felt great afterwards which really boosted my excitement for Marathon Weekend.
Time: 1:21:35
Distance: 7.00 miles
Pace: 11’39”The plan calls for one more run tomorrow but I’m flying out so that’s not happening. Even if I wasn’t it would scare me to run that close to Dopey! The challenge starts in 3 days!
January 6, 2020 at 10:28 am #122641January 6, 2020 at 11:23 am #122653@rocketear99 Thank you! Safe travels friend, see you soon!
January 6, 2020 at 11:42 am #122655@starbee you did great! And especially so with the winds! Super job, excellent way to wrap up the training! Dress rehearsal is over, it’s time to shine on stage, and I know you will!
January 6, 2020 at 11:52 am #122659January 6, 2020 at 11:57 am #122660@starbee that is exactly what it is at this point, keeping that mind positive. You know you’ve got the mile in, you know you’re in shape enough, just keep that mind in a good place.

bexruns374 XP@starbee Good luck on Sunday! I mean, the whole weekend but mostly Sunday!
I haven’t run since last weekend I’ve had a cold since then and am finally feeling mildly better but am making sure I rest as much as I can before this weekend (so I can start again this Sunday)
