@nascfan I know but I still do. I’m an Airman now, I feel like people are watching and judging. But you’re right and I definitely need to just get back out there!

I know I need to, I’ve just been stuck in that rut of “this is going to suck” and “why did I leave it this long?” but at the same time making it worse by still not doing anything my goal for this week is to run Wednesday at least and if that goes well to run on Friday also baby steps
December 9, 2018 at 11:36 am #96902@starbee I’m in the exact same boat! I’ve really slacked off on my running and training since Dopey last January. My April race was so painful. I’ve lost motivation to get out there because I know it will be way harder than it used to be. But I’m there for you every step of the way! I’m heading out now to get my run in! We officially started training for our Star Wars half marathon in April. I am determined to have a much better race by training properly! Baby steps are best! We are trying to run 3 days a week but ended up with just two days this last week. Great plan!!!

I think a race definitely helps to motivate and that’s so awesome you’re running the Star Wars half! I want to get back up to running three days a week, but for now if I can get one run in this week (maybe two) and then progress to two and then three I’ll be happy. I don’t want to set my goals too high, not meet them, and then be too unmotivated to continue I plan on running another 10K in April (the one I wanted to run last year that was sold out) so I need to start training!
December 9, 2018 at 1:17 pm #96907@starbee I hate that I’ve slacked so much and lost all that I had gained! I’m happy to report I ran my fastest 5k this morning since February!!! Fit that running in where you can and you will get back to where you were! I will be cheering you on for training and your 10k!! You can do it!!!
December 9, 2018 at 1:32 pm #96916Holy schneikies!!! Had my fastest 5k since February!! I can’t stop bouncing! We tried using set intervals today. 60 second run 30 second walk. This really helped me later in the run when I was getting tired. Had I kept my run intervals to what my body want me to do, I would have only ran for about 30 seconds! I will see if this is the right interval ratio for me as we continue to work on speed and start increasing distance this week!

Remember, no matter what you do, you will be lapping everyone on the couch! You got this! Good luck in your 10k, you will rock it!

December 9, 2018 at 2:31 pm #96923@eeyorepoohfan So I just checked to see if runDisney was doing another Virtual Half Marathon and they are… so I’m thinking of aiming even higher and trying to do that as well as the 10K they’d be a month apart so I think I could handle that. Wow that was a great time and pace for your 5K this morning! Great job!

@starbee Oh my goodness!! Yes!! I think you can rock your 10k and then the virtual half marathon!! If you get your training going soon then you will be more than ready.
