    @missingWDW I’m sorry you had such a struggle of a run. I’ve had my fair share of those lately. But you got out there and got it done!!

    @RocketEAR99 Wow! Great one miler pace!! I’m so sorry you were having lung issues. Those cold temps are cold on the lungs for sure. Don’t make your chest burst! That would make for a bad day! ;) You do have a super speedy pace when you ran in South Jersey too!

    So running has been a no go since Saturday. Our air quality, winds and pollen will not allow us outside. Today we have sustained winds of 35mph plus gusts. The sky is just filled with dirt and pollen. This has been our life here in Las Cruces for weeks now! Ryan had a bad allergy flare up after our run last Saturday and is finally sounding and feeling much better. But we are under wind advisory through tomorrow. Which means the air will be crap this weekend even if the winds are calm. So the next time we will run before our race will be next Thursday when we are at Riverside Resort! We will get in a short run around our resort to stretch our legs and acclimate a bit. Then our half marathon will be Sunday April 22nd! @nascfan has been keeping me accountable because I told him I was going to do 100 push-ups a day and a total of 2 minutes of planking every day until I leave for WDW! Well he jumped right in as has been doing the same at home! I did miss doing them yesterday because our day just didn’t allow it to happen. But I’m sticking with it to keep some upper body and core strength in the mean time. I’m too afraid to do crazy leg workouts because we all know how accident prone I am! And I don’t want to risk falling or twisting something this close to the race.

    Morning all!

    Busy week, took Abby to the Dr yesterday for her meds infusion. It’s amazing how fast she recovers afterwards. Before going in she is very lethargic and extremely pale, and by last night she had color back in her cheeks and was bouncing around. Now I have to make some of the time I took off yesterday. Was able to get 5 hours in working from home before and after the visit.

    Need to get at least 1 run in this week depending on work schedule. I have a 5k on Saturday and a half on Sunday. I will try to periscope some of the Half, part of it goes around the Wright Brothers memorial in Kitty Hawk.

    Glad the treatments are working for her!

    Sorry I’m just seeing this, hope you are having some great races this weekend!

    Felt like I was running in place this morning. It was like I was running up with each step instead of pushing forward. Just felt wrong and outta sorts.
    3 miles
    10:41/mile
    Weather is finally going to warm up by Thursday. CAN’T WAIT!!

    I hear ya! Bring on Spring already!

    @rocketear99 Nice run!

    @eeyorepoohfan
    I haven’t been out all week either. Between schedule, and just feeling beat-up physically. This week is a new week. I’m sure you will be good-to-go for the Dark Side :up: :cool:

    I have those days too and I hate it! But you did much better than you think because 3 miles is a good distance and 10:41 is a great pace! :clap:

    Trying to get caught up with this thread! Life has been all kinds of crazy! I planned to run at least twice this last week and it just never happened :( I try to run early in the mornings to make sure it gets done and the day doesn’t get away from me. But with chiropractor visits, foster care training, foster care paperwork and fingerprints, and working overtime, not only was there no time in the evenings but I have just been too exhausted to get up early in the morning.

    @10dedfish
    Great job on your half!!! :clap: I’m glad to hear Abby is doing well also :heart:

    @eeyorepoohfan
    Ugh! I am so sorry about those winds and the crappy air quality! Now is not the time! Good for you for getting in what you can. I bet your run around Riverside will be beautiful!

    So Spring really needs to get here and stay here!!! After 15* and snow last Saturday, we had a couple of beautiful 80* days on Wednesday and Thursday this week. But Friday it stormed and dropped to 50* and yesterday we went back to 35* :down: I ran today and it was 32* with 18 mph winds!!! :angry: we’re halfway through April for crying out loud and “Spring” started a month ago. I’m not happy!

    Today’s run was tough because of the wind. Usually on the trail I can change direction to make it easier, but that didn’t help today. It was coming at me from all angles and I felt like I couldn’t breathe. I also forgot to take my allergy medicine so I had terrible drainage that made me feel like I was choking and going to throw up. Fantastic. But Leia and I still got a 5k in to prepare for my upcoming 10k on Saturday. The wind affected my pace and slowed me down which is annoying but I get it. I know not every run can be great but I feel like my most recent runs have all been pretty crappy and they’re making me second guess signing up for that 10k.

    Total Distance: 3.00 miles
    Total Time: 33:12
    Average Pace: 11’01”

    Plan is to run again Tuesday and Thursday. We’ll see how that pans out.

    Nice run @starbee ! :)
