I am so proud of you @eeyorepoohfan ! You did absolutely fantastic! I’m so glad it felt good to you too, that you are healed up, and that your air was better. Just super job superstar!

I try not to post too much because frankly we’re old and slow LOL but I do have to share this. My wife finished second in her age group in last Saturday’s 5k! And we were just six seconds total slower than the Zoo 5k a couple weeks ago, on a tougher course. I am so proud of her! Never did we think either of us would be so high in our age group but she did great!

    Some quick stats:
Toledo Zoo Dart Frog Dash 5/18 – 46:53, pace 14:55 (really happy with breaking 15 minute mile pace), quickest mile 14:13
    K9 Falko Memorial 5k 6/1 – 46:59, pace 15:03, quickest mile 14:28

See? Old and slow. LOL I do feel really good about the zoo and that mile. I tried to keep Kathy on 90:30 walk/run intervals and it showed in that pace. If I can get her to be able to keep that up for the entire races we’ll be golden as far as I’m concerned! I would love to hit a 45 minute 5k sometime with her!

Got 4 Mike’s in this morning, not bad considering the humidity was at a solid 99%. It felt more like swimming than ????.

@nascfan the deer flies were horrible. Between those and the mosquitoes I was going nuts!

It was way too hot this morning for me to run. So I took Winnie on a 1.25 mile walk. Then came home and did Asylum Game Day! It’s an hour workout of various sports drills! Yep, I will be feeling that one! ???? I may or may not resemble a newborn baby giraffe trying to walk! LOL And don’t ask me to pick anything up! I don’t think it will go well! Our temps never dropped below 70* last night and it was 75* by 7am! 86* before 10:30am and we will hit 96* today, possibly 100* tomorrow! Hello summer! :surprised:

My thigh is feeling so much better. I’m going to try to workout a little harder today and see how I feel. I hope to be out running again on Thursday. I thought maybe I would try again tomorrow, but I’d hate to set myself back by pushing too soon. It’s killing me for sure, but I think a couple more days rest from running is the way to go.
But, I sure do miss it…

Great job on your workout @eeyorepoohfan! You did awesome! Hopefully those gumby arms are all recovered now!

I’m so glad your thigh is feeling better! I hope a couple more days rest are just what you’ll need to get back out there!

@nascfan , @breesmommy5, @missingWDW Thank you!! I tried to run yesterday but could really smell smoke from some random fire. So I just made it 1.25 miles until the wheezing got to be too much. On the flip side, it’s been raining here for 5 hours with no sign of stopping until later today! Hopefully that will mean better air for tomorrow morning! My Gumby arms have recovered from Saturday but I do have random muscle soreness! LOL I honestly can’t run on a treadmill, it throws off my gait too much. So I just get in what I can in the summer.

I really do hope this rain will clear that air, I want you to be able to get out tomorrow like you want!

My plan was to wait one more day before I started to run again but I just couldn’t stand it any longer so I got out this morning for 6 miles Took a 30 second walk break ever 2, but I felt awesome. Paced 10:06
    So glad I went today.
    I’m back baby!
