@eeyorepoohfan Way to go on the half!!! I’m so happy it went better than the last one! The heat and humidity is NO JOKE! I don’t think I would ever run at WDW outside of January I’m sorry you can’t run right now, but at least you’re still doing something! I feel you on the gym, I begrudgingly joined one in January because the weather was crappy and I needed somewhere to work out. We have one here where I work but it’s not the nicest and the one I joined is right down the street and offered a great military rate!
April 25, 2019 at 11:17 am #108381You did just fantastic! Especially making it through the ground fog where the serial killer with the machete was!
I’m sorry, I need an explanation here!
April 25, 2019 at 12:08 pm #108388Poop, tried to walk today outside but it’s drizzling hard so I did one lap and went to the car, I guess it’s treadmill time later
April 25, 2019 at 12:17 pm #108389@starbee you know in the horror movies how there’s always a fog? And in every fog the killer lurks, generally with a machete or something similar? Well just beyond the start line was that exact ground fog from the humidity! And the runners had to go right by/somewhat through it! We just knew the killer was in there! Had to be!
April 25, 2019 at 12:18 pm #108390Oh the hamster wheel. Sorry @breesmommy5!
April 25, 2019 at 12:38 pm #108392@starbee The heat and humidity there really are no joke! April is always so bad too! But I’m a sucker for punishment apparently! Yep, Scott nailed it perfectly on the description! It was that thick weird fog and we had to run into it! You never know what can be lurking on the other side!
April 25, 2019 at 2:36 pm #108398@nascfan Yes, I do know!
@eeyorepoohfan I frequent Halloween Horror Nights, I would have a good (or bad I guess!) idea of what’s on the other side too funny!April 25, 2019 at 3:43 pm #108408@starbee I mean, it’s a Star Wars race! It could be Ewoks, Chewie, Darth Vader, Kylo! Or something worse! You just never know! But I’ve honestly never ran a race in which the humidity was so thick for pretty much the entire race that it felt like a fog!
April 25, 2019 at 4:24 pm #108413Guys I did something dumb I was looking at dates of the 5K’s I have signed me and the kids up for in July. I was not aware of dates and I signed us up for:

April 25, 2019 at 5:00 pm #108416@breesmommy5 oh my! You guys are going to be super duper tired!
I know !! Ugh I can’t believe I did that !! Well it is a fun race and not really timed so we will just walk slow
April 25, 2019 at 5:13 pm #108417@breesmommy5 Just look at it as very early Dopey prep! You can totally do it though!!!
April 25, 2019 at 5:21 pm #108418@eeyorepoohfan I actually thought that ! I told my daughter when we go November 2020 at Disney I want to do the 5K with them in the next day do the 10K for me. So I guess this would give me an idea of how it will sort of feel
April 25, 2019 at 5:43 pm #108419@breesmommy That’s the perfect plan! It will totally give you an idea for that!
April 26, 2019 at 9:09 am #108466@eeyorepoohfan setting the mood there! Yeah that humidity does not sound fun!
@breesmommy5 Oops! what Heather said, it will be great prep for future Disney races AND since they’re more fun races, you don’t have to be as concerned about pace/time. Just have fun! Drink some Tailwind or something and you’ll be fine -
