Nice legs! I mean mug! Happy Friday
I forgot to share! Over the weekend I registered for another 10k! I’m super excited! This is the race I wanted to run last year but it was sold out I made sure to register early this year it’s in late April so hopefully I will now stick to my training and be well prepared!
That’s awesome! I have no races between now and LA weekend so I’m really just focusing on making sure I go out and run no matter my mileage. Like this morning! Alarm went off and I managed to drag my butt outta bed See? I did the thing

Having said that, my 10k last April was low 40’s and pouring down rain, so we’ll see I guess y’all get to go first with your Star Wars races
February 1, 2019 at 11:00 am #101779I hope we all have good weather for our April races!

February 1, 2019 at 4:53 pm #101790February 2, 2019 at 1:15 pm #101803Finally had warm enough temps to get out and run today. There was still a dusting on the ground, but it wasn’t slippery, and the sun was shining so bright! Loved it!
I had to eventually turn off my running app and just run without tracking. The map looked like a 2 year old scribbled out my route. The gps was not working, and it was telling me I was pacing 6:30/mile.
BLAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Not even in my prime have I paced that fast!
Tried twice to get it to work. I gave up. It’s all good. My goal is always just to get my miles in anyway, not hit a certain time.
So after 3 days off, I thankfully got my 6 miles in.
February 2, 2019 at 1:20 pm #101804I ran to the bathroom! Thanks for all the inspiration!!!
February 2, 2019 at 1:23 pm #101805@starbee congrats on signing up for the 10K!
February 2, 2019 at 1:28 pm #101806@nascfan, I know you’re still quietly training for your 5K, so cheers to you!
Keep at it and keep working toward that 10K!!!
February 2, 2019 at 8:46 pm #101813@missingwdw that really, truly means so much to me! Thank you!
And great job on getting your 6 miles in! You’re right, pace doesn’t matter, and especially in winter weather. I’m so proud of you!February 2, 2019 at 11:17 pm #101819Finally had warm enough temps to get out and run today. That is exactly what happens to me when I try to run in the gym we have at work! So frustrating! It either thinks I’m going nowhere or it thinks I’ve done four times what I have and tells me I had an incredible pace 6 miles is really awesome! You go girl!
February 2, 2019 at 11:19 pm #101820I completely destroyed myself weight lifting on Wednesday and I’ve been so sore I could barely sit down and walk. So that threw a wrench in my running plans for this week I’m feeling recovered and normal today for the first time since and the weather was so perfect for running but… after becoming a foster parent back in June (literally the day before I got my orders to BMT, naturally) we received our first placement last night! It’s exciting but lordy, how do you moms of young kiddos do it?! I had no time to run today, the young padawan was attached to my hip! I’m hoping I’ll be able to sneak out Monday morning before she wakes up.
February 3, 2019 at 7:28 am #101822@starbee oh my gosh! That is SO exciting! I am so happy for you guys, and her! Such great news! You’ll get your workouts in….this is just too awesome! I’m bouncing for you!
February 9, 2019 at 10:17 pm #102111@starbee Aw!!! Congrats on getting your first foster placement!!! I hope you all are adjusting to the new routine!
