@10dedfish Wow, you’ve done a lot of running between today and yesterday (well it’s a lot for me)! Sorry you’re not happy with your results :( And I totally hear ya with the deer flies! HATE those things! :donald:

Anyway, keep on keepin’ on my friend!

Got in a paced workout just before the rain came this afternoon! The wind was nice to run in as the rain approached and my muscles were at the top of their game.
In 30 minutes, I ran 2.51 miles for an average pace of 11:58/mile. So :) right now!

Thanks bud! I guess I’m disappointed in myself for not finishing my set distance. But I also know you need to listen to your body! Great job on your run btw!

@10dedfish sorry your later day run was tough on you! You still did great, and good job listening to your body. You just have to do that!

    @rocketear99

Tried to run later today to get used to great. Holy cow! Much harder than I anticipated. It was mid to upper 70s, heat index mid 80s. Slight wind helped, but long stretches of direct sun and only one water/electrolytes bottle was not enough. I quit running at 5 miles when I could hear my heartbeat over my ear buds. Walked 2 miles after that. So, successful but  with results.

As many in here have said to me….we have those days. Very frustrating but they happen and does not define our progress. You’re doing great!

So, I didn’t run this weekend BUT I hit my step goal (went way over) on Saturday since we were moving all day. Apartment to car (and repeat a million times), car to house (repeat a million times) along with 2 trips to the storage unit.
Sunday, James had a motocross race, and I was jus short of my step goal. I’m totally fine w/ it though.
Saturday night my body was so sore, I felt like I do after running a marathon! :surprised:

Didn’t run this morning either. My body needed the sleep.

@bexruns nope, good idea not to run, your body needs the rest after that. You used a lot of different muscle groups that you’re not used to using. It needs some time to recover.

Trial run preparing for the June runDisney 5K. Did 3.01 miles in 32:28 for 10’47” pace. Hoping to get below 10’/mile for the race so I think I’m in striking distance with a few more trials. As I was just about to post this I thought – oh yeah, they might sell out, I better check. They did! :surprised: :surprised: I should have listened to @starbee

    Morning all.

Decided to stop planning my life around my job and to start planning my job around my life. I usually go in early, but that means I have to struggle to get up early and sometimes cut gym time to make it to work by 6:30 or so. I’m now going to complete my workouts and eventually get to work. I hate my job anyway.

Had a good run this morning, my fastest 1 mile since last year. Followed that up with a short walk home then off to the gym for 30 minutes of shoulders.

Thanks Guys! I’m trying to do the fast runs during the week and slow distance on weekends. Also getting back into the gym. It felt great to be lifting, but I do need to keep an eye on my shoulder, I could tell it was not exactly happy.

@10dedfish Great job on your workout yesterday! But yes, do be careful with your shoulder…I’m with you on structuring my job around my life. But different than you, I choose to go in early so I have the best part of the daylight hours to do whatever at home :)

Yesterday I got in my paced workout. I can’t believe it, but my time improved again! In 30 minutes I went 2.52 miles for an average pace of 11’55″/mile – my all-time fastest in paced trail workouts! :)
