    @rocketear99 I’m glad you had more fun with basketball! It makes a difference using different muscles too. Awesome job on the workout!

    Well, there’s always runDisney https://www.rundisney.com/virtual-running-shorts! :)

    I know, it’s not the same as a “formal” race with lots or other runners around and the adrenaline and nervousness . I’m just sayin’ :)

    Great job to everyone that’s gotten their runs in! I did read through them all, but just don’t have the time to comment! But it appears we are all in full summer running season! Stay safe in the heat! I haven’t worked out in over a week right now. I was giving my body time to recovery from that crazy insane leg and back cramping issue I had last week. We decided at the last minute to make the 6 hour drive out to Phoenix for the long weekend. We just needed a bit of time out of town and to go relax. We did lots of walking around shops, malls, etc and logged in about 6-7 miles a day with walking. We did take our run and workout gear with. But they weren’t cooling off a lot at night (just down to the 70’s) and once the sun came up, it got hot quick. So we ate a LOT and walked a lot. We will get back on track this next week. We did a very abbreviated grocery shopping when we got into town last night. But I didn’t plan meals so it is what it is until next week. However, after our weekend away I feel refreshed and rested! I actually slept really well nearly every night! And Winnie pup let me sleep through the night last night too! I felt pretty spoiled!

    @eeyorepoohfan I’m really glad you guys took the time away. You needed it. You’ll get back on track in no time! I’m super glad to hear about you sleeping well! Good job Winnie!

    @nascfan Thank you!! We really did need that break! It’s crazy how much inflammation and bloat I have from enjoying all of the yummy foods! LOL I hope it clears out within a few days! The sleep was amazing!!! And I was super thankful that Winnie didn’t wake me up last night to check on me like she usually does! We will get back on track soon enough for sure!

    Not quite over the bruise on my foot but did a trial just now 2 mile run at 10:22 a mile followed by a 2 mile walk at 14:50, flat course 66 degrees 12 mph winds

    Felt good!

    I am pleased to say that yesterday I reached my next short-term goal! I completed 1.5 miles on the trail without walking! Finished in 15’37” for an average pace of 10’25″/mile :)

    Next goal is to do 1.5 miles three attempts in a row. Based on my experience if I can run 1.5 miles straight on my trail, I can probably run a full 5K on a flat and paved surface without walk breaks too. We shall see before long!

    The runDisney Virtual Running Shorts are pretty awesome! I did all three last year and I’m glad I did! You’re right that if you need other runners and adrenaline to push you through, this probably isn’t for you. BUT, if you need a little accountability and a reward, you only have a set period of time to get it done and when you do you get some serious bling! And it’s flexible, so if the weekend you pick gets rained out, you can pick another weekend. This was perfect for me at the time because I could work it around my plans (and the heat) and because I was just starting out, I didn’t want a bunch of runner around me seeing how little I was actually able to run! LOL

    @rocketear99 You are doing great! Good plan to break up your goals into smaller goals. That way it seems more manageable, especially as you keep reaching the smaller goals! :clap:

    @yoda Nice work! :up:

    @eeyorepoohfan
    That sounds like a perfect long weekend away! :)
