I’ve completed three 1-mile straight runs in a row!
Next goal is to complete a 1.5-mile straight run on the trail.

That’s not old news, that is GREAT news. Congrats on your accomplishment, I bet it feels very rewarding!!

Before I get behind on posting my progress…

I was super impressed with myself again yesterday for getting up early to run before work :) Trixie woke me up at 4am and I had a hard time getting back to sleep. It felt like I’d just gotten to sleep when my alarm went off at 5am. So I debated running, not gonna lie, and stayed in bed (awake) for 15 minutes. But I remembered how accomplished I felt the day before when I ran, so I did get up and I took Leia with me to run another 3 miles in the neighborhood. It went well, it was 66* and the sun wasn’t quite up yet so that stopped me getting too hot. Leia did a lot better. She didn’t get herself tangled up in anything, but she did see a bunny at one point and bolted, which kinda hurt my back because I run with her on a hands free leash that clips around my waist.

My time and pace were a lot better yesterday than on Thursday which I was impressed with! Almost 1 minute faster yesterday than the day before

    Total Distance: 3:00
    Total Time: 34:27
    Pace: 11’27”

Not bad at all for my third consecutive day running and my second consecutive day running 3 miles! :)

This morning I decided to head out to the track for more sprints before my trip to the Disney Store (which ended horribly, by the way, but that’s a different story). It was 72* so a little hotter than the last couple days, but it was cloudy so not too bad. Our high today is forecast to be 92* so I’m glad I got out there before it got that hot!

Not a whole lot to report, I ran 4 laps of the track for 1 mile, sprinting the straights and walking the curves. It’s hard work but it’s over in about 15 minutes so at least there’s that! I think it will get easier as I stick with it. Before I started my Air Force zero to running program I was sprinting once a week, but I hadn’t done any sprints since probably October. I got back into it last week and I’ve already noticed I’m nowhere near as sore this week as I was last week! I think extra stretching and foam rolling has helped for sure. I plan to keep up with the sprints and also my 3 mile runs.

Tomorrow hubby has said he wants to run with me, I plan on running 3 miles, we’ll see if either ends up happening :P

Took Winnie on a 2 mile walk on the dirt road. The air was mostly clear! She loved it and was excited to see lizards and jackrabbits! I may be able to get out and run soon!

I don’t like those much either!!! LOL I don’t know why flutter kicks are so hard, but they are! They hurt my feet for some reason too!

@starbee holy cow!!! That is absolutely amazing! Three running days in a row, two three milers, sprints, and then another three miles?!?! That is just a ton of back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back! You’re worried about basic? Pssssssh! It’s going to be a walk in the park for you! Awesome job, seriously!
