@missingWDW Boo about the wind and having to jump on the treadmill. But you got it done!!!!
December 13, 2017 at 9:49 pm #59054@bexruns Oh no!! I’m so sorry!!! Please rest up! I wonder if it’s your air quality? Try to give your body a bit longer on healing time. If this still keeps persisting then you might want to get to the doctor to make sure it’s nothing more serious that needs some attention. I’m not a medication person, but there is a time and place.
December 13, 2017 at 9:54 pm #59055@starbee It’s so hard to watch our pups age. I’m sorry she didn’t want to use the stairs. She’s being stubborn.???? What about a padded bench that at least gives her an inbetween height? Just give her extra belly rubs and ear scratches!
December 13, 2017 at 10:09 pm #59056@starbee I’m so sorry yesterday was so hard! All that extra food and dehydration are very hard on the body! And you still managed to do great on your run! And boo about your dental work! Great job on sticking with your plan! You will do great at your 5k!
December 13, 2017 at 10:13 pm #59057@chill7984 I saw!!!! I’m in E! My sister and my hubby are in D! Things just got even more real!!! I’m so excited!!!
December 14, 2017 at 12:11 am #59074Took Winnie for her normal 1.25 mile walk. Managed just over an 18 min/mile walking pace! Winnie has extra pep in her step! She’s usually over a 19 min/mile.

Oh I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what it is. I feel totally fine other than occasionally having a massive coughing fit. It’s been windy here for almost 2 weeks with smoke blowing around for almost that whole time as well. It’s awful.

missingWDW183 XPGot all my running layers out last night and left them in the bathroom ready to go first thing this morning. I figured my treadmill run wasn’t that rough, I could run two days in a row and do another 3 miles. 4:30 am my phone rings: delayed opening. WHAT?????
It snowed???
No one ever mentioned snow at work yesterday( FYI teachers anticipate snow more that the students!)
WTFigment??!!!
So, no run this morning. Hopefully the sun will melt the roads and they won’t freeze overnight. If they do, I’ll be on that damn treadmill again
#ineedtomovesouthDecember 14, 2017 at 1:42 pm #59173@eeyorepoohfan It is now we have Leia we may give the stairs another shot. If Trixie sees Leia use them, I’m sure she will. If Leia’s doing something, Trixie needs to be included Thanks for the encouragement! I also wonder if not doing my lunchtime workouts this week has made running harder. I usually go down to the gym on my lunch and do squats, push ups, sit ups, planks, flutter kicks, leg lifts and other stuff, but I’ve always wondered if doing squats and then running the next morning was making things tougher on myself. This week because of my dental appointment and lots going on at work, I’ve only hit the gym once on lunch and I’m thinking that’s actually helping me run not hurting. I will be back at the lunch time workouts next week I hope!
December 14, 2017 at 1:44 pm #59174@missingWDW You should move South I couldn’t handle some of these east coast states! OK is bad enough! Sure we’ve had some crazy chilly mornings recently, but that’s not as bad as cold plus snow and ice. We escaped last winter without snow and I’m hoping for the same this year! We get it so infrequently people have no stinkin’ clue how to drive in it. They either go 5 mph or 60 mph. I hate it! But our weather is also crazy up and down, yesterday’s high was 60* today’s is 40*
December 14, 2017 at 1:48 pm #59176Day 3 of Week 3 complete! Got out there this morning, 38* but felt colder than when I ran Monday despite being warmer. Today it was a little windy which is so hard to run against! First set was strong, second and third set I found myself wishing for the buzzer but I didn’t stop this for sure isn’t “easy” but at least it’s do-able! Same ratios again as the other two days this week: 4 min walk/7 min run, three times.
Total Time: 33:00
Total Distance 2.75 miles
Total Running Time: 21:00Tomorrow I’m taking off of running because Saturday is my 5K. Back to back running days are hard, especially three in a row, so tomorrow I won’t run and Saturday I hope to kick butt! My last 5K was so good that I’m afraid to do worse this time around I can’t decide if I should make it up on the fly or if I should use set walk/run ratios. I also need to pick up my packet tonight!
December 14, 2017 at 1:50 pm #59180@bexruns I really do think it’s the smoke! Are you able to go to a gym or take off a bit of time from running until the air quality improves? Go do some stairs somewhere?
December 14, 2017 at 1:52 pm #59182@missingWDW UGH! That’s so rough when you are ready to run and can’t go!!!! I pray your roads don’t freeze!!! Yes, move south!!! I hear Florida is nice!!!

I really think it is.
We have a gym in our complex but it doesn’t open till 6am and that’s too late in the morning for me It used to be open 24 hours, wish it still was!December 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm #59187@starbee Yes, give the stairs another shot! Monkey see, monkey do, right?! Yes, doing those extra leg workouts will make running feel harder. However, they help to strength your legs, knees and hips. So it’s a tough call. Lay off of the lunch workout the day before an important run though. That might give you fresher legs!!!!!
