We aren’t looking forward to going in circles at the track all winter either. But that’s an unfortunate byproduct to where we live. Kathy already said she’s going to get bored. So I’ll have to tell her to imagine going through a country at Epcot!
Just have Kathy listen to her favorite area loops… I did this morning on my walk and the time flew by
October 11, 2017 at 11:05 am #52395We took Winnie on her 1.25 mile walk. Lots of sniffs and pups! She moseys at a 19 min/mile pace.
Yea Winnie! I like her pace!

October 11, 2017 at 4:34 pm #52408@VickingMickey I like your idea!! I just feel bad for the clean up crew!!!! But that would be so fun for a short run!
October 12, 2017 at 11:15 am #52453Good morning!
Didn’t run yesterday, however I did half an hour on the elliptical. Tonight will probably be the same as I have a TON to do after work.
I was going to do a race this weekend but held off on registering and now I’m glad I did because I need to rest this weekend. My nose has been running almost every day since we’ve been home. :'(
So instead, I’m registering for a race on 10/28 in Ventura. Then my full is the weekend after. Then the weekend after is Thor! Then nothing!October 12, 2017 at 11:18 am #52454I saw your elliptical, good job! That’s a long time on one of those! Wow, you are going to be jam packed! Best of luck with all of them! You will shine!
October 12, 2017 at 1:11 pm #52462@bexruns Great job getting the elliptical in!! I’m sorry you are so busy right now! Hang in there!!! I’m glad you held off on registering for that race. I feel like it’s harder and harder to bounce back after vacation nowadays! It can be a couple of weeks after I’m home before I finally feel like I’m back in my groove. I bet the smoke is getting to you. Look at you booking back to back to back race weekends!!!! You might be slightly insane! But then again, I’m registered for Dopey! So who am I to say anything?!
October 12, 2017 at 1:27 pm #52463Hmmm. Uh yeah, Miss Dopey Challenge, I don’t think you have room to talk.
October 12, 2017 at 8:33 pm #52506@nascfan I know
October 13, 2017 at 8:29 am #52528I apologize, I don’t have a whole lot of time to go back through this thread and get caught up right now crunch time at work now before I leave for Orlando on Sunday!
With our trip coming up I’ve been slacking on my running. I have drill this weekend so last weekend was the last weekend I had available to run errands and get things together for our trip. This week has been non-stop with chores, packing, and getting things ready for the dog sitter. I still have laundry to do! I haven’t had time to run before or after work I was able to get some rope drop walks in on my lunch breaks at work, as well as push ups and sit ups. Maybe I will be running and doing other PT over the weekend at drill. I guess I’ll find out!
But this morning I did get 1 run in for this week:
Distance: 1.5 miles
Breakdown: Run 3 laps (0.75 miles) walk 1 lap (0.25 miles) run 2 laps (0.5 miles)
Time: 17:53 (pretty sure that’s my fastest 1.5 miles since I started running regularly)I tried really hard not to walk, just to see if me not running 1.5 miles straight was all mental. It was going so well until my shoe became untied. So I stopped to do that at the end of the lap I was running and then ended up walking because I felt out of breath. I decided to allow myself that one lap and then go back to running. Not super thrilled that I ended up walking but at the same time I did a decent amount of running so it wasn’t a bust. We’ll see what the weekend brings at drill!
October 13, 2017 at 8:31 am #52535October 13, 2017 at 8:53 am #52537Great job @starbee! Don’t worry, drills and basic will have plenty of running I’m sure! You’ve got a really good base to start with. You’ve prepped well and will do great!
October 13, 2017 at 8:55 am #52539@eeyorepoohfan, Friday 5k! I was looking forward to this! Is it sad that I know your schedule so well?
You did great! Really nice pace and a good warm up for tomorrow. Kathy and I are ready! Fingers are limbered up for cheering you on! -
