    @Stupidjudy we always tell the kids find someone with a legitimate Disney name tag. and like i said…we put our phone numbers in their pockets/purses.

    @RocketEAR99
    holy crap…mine are color coded too! i go out and look at crowd calendars and then code the park red (no go) versus green (GO!)

    @StupidJudy We arrange meeting places but that’s usually when we separate on purpose with people wanting to do different things for a little bit. By the way, in front of Cinderella Castle is NOT a good meeting spot! Everybody goes there! Anyway, you can certainly set a meeting spot in each park but Figment had a great answer. Find a CM, Find a CM, Find a CM. They are all trained in this and will do anything and everything to reunite kids with their lost parents. By the way, the kids never get lost in WDW, it’s always the parents. First hand knowledge of seeing the CM’s at work.

    @Nascfan – That FP idea is really good. We usually space ours out, but back-to-backs sound like a great idea!

    @Stupidjudy
    – We don’t have experience losing kids [yet], but we do tend to set up meeting places and times just in case we get split up (or want to split up). Comes in handy. The spreadsheet thing I do, I also make sure everyone in my party has a copy so they know where and when the next big thing is going to be. That has helped us rendezvous many times.

    @jamiedawn27 – We must be using the same spreadsheet. Color code the parks for best park to visit and color code the showtimes, reservations and fast passes to the parks (pink for MK, Light green for Epcot, light blue for DHS, gold for AK, and gray for outside of the parks locations).

    @jamiedawn27 You are definitely in good company and not the only spreadsheet user AT ALL! How do other people get around? :smirk: I also have a journal where I write things like my must-do’s, PhotoPass locations I want to take pictures at, snack locations I want to visit, etc. as well as my plans for the day. Crow calendar, what park I’ll be at, FPs, ADRs, my touring plan, stuff like that ;)

    I have a “things to try” list. ;)

    A friend just shared this, so I’m trying it on my trip next week. You put everything in your Google calendar, all FP and dining reservations, and then you make sure your watch shows your calendar. That way you’ll know what is up next for you by just looking at your watch. Of course, you need an Apple watch for this.

    When we drive I take a picture of which lot name and row we are in. Also I tend to empty out a bottle of water and refil with Rum. Now I have instant party in my bag. Also sometimes on the back of some of the reciepts are coupons. I think its only from Emporium and MouseGears maybe. We also try book an early ADR at a MK resort on the monorail loop if we drive. This way we can drive over to said resort then just hop on the monorail! And much like everyone else we carry the spare chargers and cords. My aunt does the spread sheet thing but I find it kind of obsolete with these portable hand held computers. All plans go right on my calander with reminders set up and I get a notification. I try not to bring any bags into the parks but when we do its a Dos Equis! LOL We have a dedicated Disney backpack with pins and character key chains all over it.

    I don’t have any tips to share but I was wondering what your plan of action is when you lose someone in your party, I have teen boys who tend to not pay attention to where we are going and/or wander off, I can use all the tips I can get!

    For example, do you set up a meeting point somewhere specific (that’s assuming the kid knows how to get around the park) do you tell them to stay put if they realize they’re “lost”? My youngest thought he lost us then crouched into a ball next to a garbage can near the Star Tours gift shop, not the best way for me to find him! LOL (we were still in the shop but he couldn’t see us).
    I am not sure if they’ll carry their cell phones, they’ll probably end up in my bag…

    As Mr. Gibbs would say… “Keep to the code” :map:

    Since we have had the stroller, some of our tips might not work for everyone.

    1) I usually wear sneakers, but if I know I’m going on Splash Mountain or Kali, I will bring flip flops to the park and change into them before I get on the ride. Then I’m not sloshing around in wet sneakers all day

    Yes, we always bring some empty plastic grocery bags to put the wet shoes in afterwards. Same with rain ponchos, when you fold them up, you will want a bag to put them in so they don’t get everything in your backpack wet.

    We do something very similar. We buy at Kroger, especially when they have four times fuel points, and use our Visa card that pays us 2% cash back. We joke we can actually make money on a trip that way!

    A few things

    1) 2 pairs of shoes. Feet get tired and sore, change shoes halfway through the day
    2) pack 1 suitcase full of individual cereal boxes, plastic bowls and spoons. Eat while getting ready. Big savings on 1 meal, and at the end of the trip, empty suitcase for purchases
    3) Eat biggest meal a 1
    4) Nap after big meal. Recharge. This is when you change your shoes
    5) Probably the biggest hack I can list. Use Chelle. Seriously. You dont know what you dont know, and she knows. Use her. You will not regret it.

    @dngnb8 I really like #2. I’ll definitely be using that next time we fly.
