Rumor Updates (September 2019)

Tomorrowland receives a new sign. Primeval Whirl goes seasonal. And the Millenium Falcon queue seems a bit sketchy to the author.

The landscape of rumors is forever shifting. In this monthly series, we’ll take a look at all the new updates to the articles pertaining around rumors. There are very few updates, which I do take a little blame for. Turns out, the less articles you write, the less you have to update. ????

The Tomorrowland Updates

There’s a new entrance sign on the bridge that connects Tomorrowland and the Hub. The sign is now more simplistic and sleek, donning a new font and less gizmos. There are mixed reactions.

Primeval Whirl

It’s the End of Dinoland as We Know It

Back in mid-June, Primeval Whirl unexpectedly went down for unplanned maintenance. The opening date kept being pushed back until Disney recently announced the attraction as Seasonal. Even with ride testing occurring in the past month, the ride is not scheduled to reopen until mid-December. Some believe this may be a sign that Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama will finally shut down, as what happens with most Seasonal attractions. One possibility being suggested is the arrival of the excavator roller coaster discussed in the original article.

Millenium Falcon: Smuggler's Run

The Rumors of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge: FastPass+++

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been open for a month now, and believe it or not, CM blockouts were lifted and I was lucky enough to experience the land for myself twice now. I couldn’t help but notice that Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run having touch points with a separate queue leading out of it. For the time being, FastPass is not offered for this attraction. Guests with the disability pass do use it to return after the allotted time is up, but I can’t help but think this could lead to the rise of FastPass being offered, whether it be free or up-charged.
