Night of Joy 2018 Might Not Happen

Night of Joy 2018

Confirmed: Night of Joy is not returning. A spokeswoman for Disney has confirmed that Night of Joy will no longer be returning and that last year’s event was the final event. The spokeswoman described this change as “continually changing its offerings.”

Night of Joy, one of the events Disney has hosted in past years that stars Christian artists, appears to be getting downgraded. In the past two years, the event changed locations from Magic Kingdom to the ESPN Wide World of Sports. Now it seems Night of Joy may not even occur.

No news of Night of Joy has come from Disney, which has led to many Disney fans speculating and researching. It has been discovered that all information on Night of Joy has been taken off the Disney websites. Disney has also stated that MercyMe, a popular Christian band and a previous contributor to Night of Joy, will be performing at Eat to the Beat this year during the Food and Wine Festival.

Fingers seem to point to the cancellation of Night of Joy, but we will have to wait and see. Don’t shoot the messenger.

  1. Interesting. They may be sending otherwise paying guests over to Universal’s Rock the Universe instead

  2. Their loss if they do cancel it.

  3. Say Whaaaaaat? WOW! I’m speechless………………… :surprised: If Disney does cancel this yearly event, I’m sure that they will be losing a ton of busness. Keep us posted if you hear anything else @sej101 !!

  4. Interesting. I’ve never attended, but I’ve heard good things about it.

  5. everything i have seen is they are canceling. also, they put two Christian artists…Mercy Me and Tauren Wells in the F&W listing so I think that’s how they’ll handle it.

  6. Honestly, I went a long time ago mainly because it was held in the Magic Kingdom. I know that with it being held at WWS, you still get access to the parks, but it’s just not the same. It seemed like a huge downgrade anyway. It seems as if this is a subtle way for Disney to get rid of it all together?
