They just opened the WWoHP area out here, and it’s pretty small, but I expect it to take over a whole lot more of the park/area as the years go on.

Back to Disney-at DCA, I am not a fan of the Bugs Land area. Even when my kids were smaller, I hated going over there. It’s too small and crowded and causes so much bottlenecking. That said, it’s a lot better now that they’ve opened the walkway into the ToT area, but still….so. much. traffic.

Just realized this….I’m not fond of the Disney parade music. I mean, I guess I would be if it was Christmastime, but right now? Notsomuch. :tree:

I am not a parade person at all. I try to skip as many as possible and only go if I have to for family. That being said- if I go to one of the parties I go to the late one. Maybe it’s a crowd issue.

Before FoF came to Disney World I would avoid the parade because it wasn’t anything spectacular it was the same parade for like 15 years! (well felt like it to me). So I can see where you are coming from the crowds are crazy! I hate seeing the night stuff at the Magic Kingdom because of the crowds but I do love me some Wishes! But the crowds are just too much! We do what we call a Disney train when we are in a packed area, we link belt loops with our fingers or grab someone’s backpack handle in our group so we don’t get lost.

So for my unpopular opinion after I put in my 50 cents about parades and crowds, I do not think that haunted mansion store is anything crazy! Yeah they have merch for my favorite ride but I don’t see that the store does just and it so tiny!!

I have not seen a parade in 3 years, everyone except me will not watch them, they hate the crowds after so we usually ride rides or leave which makes me mad lol

My wife loves the parades and always wants to watch them. For that reason we have seen a few. My kids and I could take them or leave them. Sometimes I enjoy a break if the parade is good, however, I’d much rather get to some rides while the crowd is congested on the parade route or go back to our resort for some pool time.

I am not a fan of Dinosaur (WDW) or Indiana Jones Adventure (DL). They are too ‘jerky’ for me. I am all about some thrills and frills but don’t jerk me around!

This is tough for me as well. I have degenerative joint disease and the jerking around is painful

I am in complete agreement! This past October my son and I had the opportunity to visit Disneyland, and I was so pumped to be able to experience Indiana Jones Adventure. It was worse than Dinosaur in my opinion with the jerkiness. It was just too much! I probably would not ride it again.

I must say I am also in agreement with you guys. I just have not ridden Indy on the left coast yet. I’m also not a fan of the random drop system on ToT. Much rather it be back to the OG ToT. One nice long drop after the first tiny one was perfect. Bouncing up and down 5-10 times is just a little excessive to me.

Sounds like I’m in the minority here as I love those parts of the rides LOL

I’m with all of you on the crowds issue though. I LOVE Fantasmic! but my anxiety goes into overdrive at the end when trying to leave.

    @prncssriss
I’m right there with you on the HM store. We have a cart right outside the ride here, and then a store for it (that also sells TNBC stuff) over near Pirates. The stuff is cute but…..so tiny and packed. I hate going in there.

@imarebelpilot I wish the store was better it is so tiny but it isn’t as crowded as it was when it first opened but i feel its either really expensive or super cheap looking stuff. But I do love me some HM merch i just wish designed it better!

Gotta agree with you. DL only just started getting more HM merch in the last couple of years. So much of it seems to be glow in the dark stuff, which…while its cool and all, I’m never going to wear that outside of the parks, you know?

My only HM shirt is the Hatbox Ghost and it does glow in the dark. I typically do not purchase ride oriented stuff. I mostly have character focused stuff.

When I was younger, parades were not something I would stop for. Being that my mobility has been significantly limited, and now I must enjoy the parks from a motorized chair, I find I have a greater interest in the parades

I don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion, but here goes. Even though I do it, I despise rope drop. Cramming into a space with a bunch of people who are trying to squeeze their way past you, even though there’s no room, ugh! Avoiding rope drop is 90% of the reason I made pre-park opening ADRs (if you’re curious, Mickey waffles make up the other 10%) :p

@kcboston the older I get, I feel the same. We still get to the parks before actual opening and usually get breakfast on Main St while we’re waiting for rope drop.
