    With regard to Dole Whips, I found recently that the window at the Polynesian still offers vanilla and vanilla pineapple swirl and a significantly larger portion for the same price as in Magic Kingdom. It was well worth it at the Poly. It’s not as good as it used to be at MK.

    I get ya on Old Key West. :up: There and Saratoga Springs, while not my top favorites for DVC, are still good go-to’s on my list for an easy going trip and I love how they are centrally located and less popular among most guests.

    @bpellinen I love the park hopper! We like to spend our days at one park, and then we usually hop over to Epcot at night. The World Showcase at night is one of my favorite things in the world

    @jamiedawn27
    That’s cool, more carrot cake cookies for me :p

    @RocketEAR99
    I haven’t gotten a dole whip at the Poly since they took the self serve machines out. RIP :'(

    We’ve only eaten at Whispering Canyon for breakfast and we really enjoy it. The ketchup thing happens every time we’re there, and someone was thrown in “ketchup jail” once. LOL However, one time we tried to go for dinner and the hostess was exceedingly rude, so we took the boat over to Ft Wilderness

    This might get me crucified but I hope not. After all, the title of this thread is Unpopular Opinions. Mine is Illuminations. It’s the least favorite of nighttime shows to me and I find myself getting bored in the middle when the globe is turning, and turning, and turning. I like the music here, and especially the Evening at Epcot (the preshow music), but for me, it’s not something I choose to see on a trip. I’d much rather go with Fantasmic or Wishes.

    Scott. I will partially agree with you here! We actually prefer the Christmas version! It seems longer and better to us for some reason. We don’t have a problem with the regular one, but don’t seem to catch it regularly.

    Not the same, but sometimes I will pass on the fireworks just because I don’t feel like fighting with everyone to get out of the park after that. I think Epcot is probably the worst in that scenario. We had to wait for 2 buses on our last trip, but lucked out leaving DHS after Fantasmic

    You ain’t kidding!! The same reason we do not watch the fireworks in the parks. I can’t deal with this he mass exodus.

    @starbee I totally agree with you on that one! We always seem to be in the situation where we’ve stayed in the parks longer than we intended to, and then have to make that decision of “do we leave right this second to beat the crowds, or are we hanging around until after the fireworks when they all leave?” Usually we end up making a dash for the exit then

    Well I guess I’m in the minority here on this one. We’ll stay for the night time shows and just hang out after for the massive cattle drive to pass and just get to soak in more disney sights and sounds. I try to get as much out my pass as possible and that means I’m the last one out than so be it. Epcot at night is a pure joy especially when staying at the Boardwalk. You can sneak right out the back bing bang boom! So again there we just stroll around the vastly empty countries and streets.

    i struggle with the park hopper…i love it because i am a firm believer in ending EVERY night at Epcot. but the price ticks me off.

    @Nascfan
    i am with you on Illuminations…saw it as a teenager and got ash in my eye from the fireworks. another time i watched it i couldn’t see anything on the globe – either i am getting old or my glasses aren’t strong enough? anywho, we pass on this one every time and get out before the crowds (or ride spaceship earth one more time)

    @jloosh78 that’s what we do when we don’t have the little one with us. Nothing better than strolling around an empty World Showcase at night

    @jloosh78 We have such early starts that I usually want to get out, but we have hung around in the past. That’s the way to do it. It would be great to stay at an Epcot resort and not have to worry about it!

    @jamiedawn27
    I agree, I haven’t bought a park hopper in years and years because I get annoyed at the extra cost

    @Jloosh78 – How dare you! Get off this thread! ;) Totally kidding. Even though I am a big Star Wars fan, I am friends with many who don’t get the hype. It’s cool.

    As for fireworks, it depends on my mood. I almost always see IllumiNations and Wishes, but I’m not the biggest fan of trying to fight the crowds in and out of Fantasmic, so I skip it about every other trip. I just take my time getting out of the park after. Though where Wishes is concerned, I do enjoy strolling over to Bay Lake Tower and using my DVC membership to access the Top of the World Lounge and view fireworks from there crowd free and care free.

    Im not a fan of the All Star Resorts. Last bus stops. Buses would take sooooo much time, and they would fill so fast. Hour or more waits were frustrating. I understand the population there is high because of the value, but they really need to increase the number of bus frequency there.

    Now I only stay at resorts with more then one transportation option.
