I quite enjoyed the live action B & B. But as far as the device dependability and all the pre planning. They might as well start making HunchbackLand now because everyone will have one from looking down! LOL reminds me of Wall-E. There is just no spontaneity. And yes way to many cash grabs. I might have to just stay at the hotels and enjoy the recreational amenities and start skipping the parks.

This may not be an unpopular opinion, but just general ignorance. What the heck is up with Rose Gold?? What does it have to do with Minnie Mouse? Why is it a thing and when did it become a thing?? Am I living under a rock?? LOL LOL LOL LOL

i think it’s because rose gold just became a thing in general – like everyone was buying rose gold jewelry, iphones, basically anything that could be rose gold was made rose gold and people bought it, so disney just tried to capitalize on it. just my opinion though!

also agreed @breesmommy5 !! LOL LOL

Not sure how unpopular this opinion is…but I think Disney should add a few more play-areas within the main theme parks where the little kids are able to run around freely and enjoy some freedom in the parks. The parks are just so darn busy throughout the year now. With the high crowd-levels, you need carry your kids or put them in a stroller if you’re not on a ride. I feel at least one large splash pad-type area and one playground area per park, IMO. On my most recent trip with my 1 & 3 year old, part of me wanted a spot where I could sit back and watch the kids run around and have fun on their own…but then I thought “maybe I wouldn’t want to invest in this vacation if my kids weren’t going on the rides.” Below are the places in the park that I know of…and if I am simply missing some things, please let me know.

MK has the Dumbo splash area (awesome), but they don’t have a playground place, like what the 1000-acre wood used to be.
AK has that Boneyard (awesome), but no splash pad type feature. They definitely need a cool-down place in that park!
EPCOT has that small splash pad between future world and world showcase which they can do a lot more with.
HS doesn’t have anything that I’m aware of since they got rid of the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground (which I LOVED).

@tkeon200 In MK, there is a tiny little playground under Splash Mountain. It’s not large, but it’s something

There were parts of Maelstrom that I really liked, but overall I thought it looked really poorly done…from the sets, to the animatronics, to the static polar bear. The best part about it was the thought of going backwards over the falls. I also always felt embarrassed to duck through the theater at the end as if to say “Love your country, but I really do not care to watch the Norway film again.” You kinda duck your head and walk quickly through the theater while trying not to make eye contact with the Norwegian cast members who are on theater duty.

LOL LOL LOL You just described a day at Epcot for me! We totally feel the same way when passing through the theater! lol

    My Disney Unpopular opinion:
I am very much looking forward to the opening of Panorda – The World of Avatar! I think it will become one the of the most popular lands in all of Disneyworld. Although not a Walt Disney concept, it will certainly be a place where the guests will be totally immersed in Pandora. It will be popular for everyone including the guests that have not seen the film or did see it and didn’t care for it. Furthermore, I believe the attractions will become two of the most popular at Disneyworld. The Na’vi River Journey will an amazing visual experience culminating in an up close and personal meeting with state of the art animatronics. Avatar Flight of Passage will expand on the concept that I believe was first created in Horizons which then evolved into Soarin’. I would not be surprised if those guests that suffer from motion sickness will be advised not to ride. And I have no doubt that thousands will want to experience Pandora at night to see all of the stunning bioluminescent flora. I am not sure how they will handle those crowds. Imagine, if you will, the crowds an order of magnitude larger than at the Osborne lights. And I believe all of the naysayers will change their tune once they experience this new land. I can hear them now, “Oh don’t get me wrong, I don’t like the film but I love the land”. HAHAHA
We shall see what we shall see.
(I sincerely hope I don’t have to eat my own words because I really am looking forward to some new cool stuff that rivals the new attractions at Universal.)

    There it is!

Well, now that Pandora’s been open for quite a while, this post was like opening a time capsule. lol Here’s my unpopular opinion: I’m not a fan of the movie or the land. I guess with all the hype I was expecting a whole LAND as in Fantasyland, not just an area. It’s much smaller than I expected and the boat ride is a complete let down with ONE animatronic. Flight of Passage is a great ride but for me, if I have to wait forever to ride another motion simulator I’m going to scream! I think it’s lazy imagineering. I still don’t get the whole Avatar thing. I don’t care how much money it made, you don’t see people going around in Avatar gear and as far as I know, I’ve never heard of any sort of Avatar fandom. It was like they drew something out of a hat to try to compete with Harry Potter and boy what a miss! Star Wars I get….major fandom, just not mine lol. Avatar, um no.

okay so i don’t want to beat a dead horse, but i need to vent. after seeing the new disney releases up until 2027, i was horrified to learn there were so many “live action” films being made. and i know it doesn’t say wether they’re remakes or not, but i can almost guarantee 99% of them will be. anyway, my problem with the remakes is that they’re a complete money grab. a.) they know they’ll do well at the box offices. that’s why they’re not remaking everything, just the ones that they know will do well. Why do you think there’s no pocahontas or hercules planned? because those don’t have a big fanbase, or in hercules case, even did well when it first came out. also, by not making original movies, they’re saving so much money. they don’t need to write a script or songs from scratch, so i doubt they pay their writers as much as they would if they were creating something brand new.

also something horrifying i found out the other day: the screenwriters guild for animation writers is awful and it doesn’t entitle you to royalties if your original work gets remade. i worded that poorly, but basically, linda woolverton, the woman who wrote the original beauty and the beast, received 0 dollars from the remake even though they used her words and writing. i know disney is a corporation, but that just does not sit well with me.

okay i’m done rambling, i just needed to get that out. if you’re like me and want to see original disney movies, this list will just disappoint you.

Wow I didn’t know about the royalties thing Julia. That’s crazy but nothing surprises me with Disney and money anymore. I did like Beauty and the Beast but really have no interest in any of the others.

I absolutely looooove rose gold, and when I started loving it is riiiight about the time that it seemed like everyone did. I had been looking for a rose gold and morganite ring for EVER because it was just so pretty, and within that same year it seemed like it started popping up everywhere! It kind of makes me sad because it’s not special looking any more. But it does make the prettiest jewelry ever!

    Alright I’ve got one:
I like the WDW Space Mountain better than Disneyland’s. Yes, the DL version has a lot of great effects and elements that the Florida version could use, but I think the design and layout of the WDW track makes for a more enjoyable ride.
We could really use some of DL’s overlay elements though. The last overlay they did in Florida for the Halloween party was a nice change but a little underwhelming.
