Figment32 XPWe get them as a matter of course.
We spend so much $$$ on our trips that it is viewed as trip insurance.
If one park isnt working then we move on.

February 14, 2017 at 9:16 am #13359I just really can’t stand leaving! It infuriates me. Oh and all the movie themed rides.

Figment32 XPMy Disney Unpopular opinion:
I am very much looking forward to the opening of Panorda – The World of Avatar! I think it will become one the of the most popular lands in all of Disneyworld. Although not a Walt Disney concept, it will certainly be a place where the guests will be totally immersed in Pandora. It will be popular for everyone including the guests that have not seen the film or did see it and didn’t care for it. Furthermore, I believe the attractions will become two of the most popular at Disneyworld. The Na’vi River Journey will an amazing visual experience culminating in an up close and personal meeting with state of the art animatronics. Avatar Flight of Passage will expand on the concept that I believe was first created in Horizons which then evolved into Soarin’. I would not be surprised if those guests that suffer from motion sickness will be advised not to ride. And I have no doubt that thousands will want to experience Pandora at night to see all of the stunning bioluminescent flora. I am not sure how they will handle those crowds. Imagine, if you will, the crowds an order of magnitude larger than at the Osborne lights. And I believe all of the naysayers will change their tune once they experience this new land. I can hear them now, “Oh don’t get me wrong, I don’t like the film but I love the land”. HAHAHA
We shall see what we shall see.
(I sincerely hope I don’t have to eat my own words because I really am looking forward to some new cool stuff that rivals the new attractions at Universal.)There it is!

StupidJudy71 XPI am looking forward to Pandora too, I think I may have mentioned it once or twice anyway, I have watched the movie again recently and enjoyed it more the second time around, I am so excited to see what they have prepared, I am convinced it will be amazing! At first I wasn’t as thrilled, I didn’t understand what any of it had to do with Animal Kingdom. Like you said, we shall see!

AnonymousXPI don’t understand why they went with a non Disney themed land and attractions. I’m sure they will be fun and exciting, especially being new, but it will always bug me that they went with something outside of their playbook.
February 16, 2017 at 8:14 am #13759I concur @Mr.TomMorrow! I’m going to be hopefully optomistic but as you said i’ll always be asking myself why? There could have been so many other Disney related options they could have went with. It also really bugs me to see Starbucks all over the parks. As a kid it was always nice to go somewhere where you were’nt bombarded with corperate sponsors and ads. And now Disney is caving in. UGHHH
February 16, 2017 at 8:22 am #13763I too am optimistic about Pandora. I’m not a fan of Avatar (I basically thought it was a sci-fi, top notch CGI retelling of Pocahontas), but given that most of what made the movie great was the visual aspect, I’m looking forward to what the Imagineers do to immerse you into it and they’re usually very good at that!
@Jloosh78 – Far as Starbucks goes, at least they’ve done a nice job of making them blend in rather than stick out like a sore thumb for the most part, but I have not visited any of them except to get free water. Besides, I like Joffrey’s coffee betterFebruary 16, 2017 at 9:02 am #13779@RocketEAR99 I just don’t like coffee. Plus I really liked the Main Street Bakery before it was taken over by Starbucks. It’s just not the same.

Figment32 XPAvatar did remind me of a blend of Dances with wolves and Pocahontas.
I think Pandora will be amazing. The more I read and see about it, the more excited I get.
I thought the Fantasyland expansion fell short of what most were expecting. I am not even sure it makes up for the classic rides we’ve lost through the years there.
I don’t think James Cameron will allow Pandora to fall short. He doesn’t operate that way. His past works have proven that he’ll do whatever it takes to get the job done right.
I remember lots of historians were questioning his version of the sinking of Titanic. Lately, it’s been proven that he had it right all along. If James Cameron says “It’s amazing” after riding the Banshee simulator then I am sure it will be spectacular.

Figment32 XPStarbucks coffee is highly overrated!
Their breakfast sandwiches aren’t bad though.
February 16, 2017 at 9:10 am #13791Oh no doubt @figment! The man is a genious and I’m sure it will be the most breathtaking land ever anywhere! I just would have rather seen a more Disney touch. Cameron in many ways is like Walt was. I’m greatly looking forward to seeing pandora and all the visual effects. Since I’ve gotten older I’ve been paying alot more attention to all the details around the parks. Pandora may just send me in sensory overload.

Figment32 XPI can’t even imagine how crowded that area will be at night.
I don’t know how they will handle that.
Maybe they will start selling peyote popsicles or imported gummy bears from Colorado!
HAHAHAHAFebruary 16, 2017 at 9:36 am #13825HAHAHAHA! Peyote popsicles! Love it

I agree with you, it’s not the same! Lost a bit of charm.
