Ummmmm…….Did I do something to make the emojis go GIANT on us?
I’ve noticed that in other threads too, Ferg. Must have to do with coding or something
I just reported it as a Bug in that forum. I mean, it doesn’t really matter all that much, but it might make a difference on the mobile app down the road.
November 21, 2017 at 12:28 pm #56231@monkcline Thank you so much!!!
@Ferg Thank you and I definitely will!!
@ SEJ101 The sculptures sound so fun! And I agree, you should post pics of them this year!November 22, 2017 at 6:44 am #56332Thanksgiving is different now with my parents gone. But my daughter and son-in-law are very excited to have the very first holiday in their house! So we will go over early tomorrow and help with any and all prep and enjoy the day.
Have a wonderful, happy, and safe Thanksgiving everyone! Fill your homes with love and and bellies with food!November 22, 2017 at 7:41 am #56333@ferg Ohhhhhhh that sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving that you’re about to have! I love that you are starting a new tradition in memory of your daughter I hope that you have a fantastic day with family and your daughters friends!
November 22, 2017 at 11:08 am #56374We are starting a new tradition this year. Our two daughters have always put up the Christmas tree the Saturday or Sunday after Thanksgiving (depending on where we are and if we have guests, etc.) and then decorate Christmas cookies. Since this is the first Thanksgiving since my oldest daugther’s passing, 7 of her close friends are coming over to join our other daughter in putting up the tree. Will be a special time as they pull out her special ornaments and hang them and share stories. Then we will all make and decorate the cookies. We are excited (and truthfully, also a bit nervous) for this special time and to see her friends as we miss seeing them regularly like we used to.
I didn’t realize this was your first Thanksgiving without your daughter. Prayers for you guys I like the sound of your new tradition!

Have a wonderful, happy, and safe Thanksgiving everyone! Fill your homes with love and and bellies with food! You let your kids have Thanksgiving in their own house?! You are a doll! I’m sorry, my snark is coming out because I no longer like the holidays. Your plans sound perfect! I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful day!
November 22, 2017 at 11:11 am #56376I’ll be boarding a plane and heading to Disney World! Yay!!! A Thanksgiving trip has become a tradition for my mom, sister and I! This is our 6th one!
This is what I should be doing! What is Thanksgiving like at the World? I hope you have a magical trip!

Thank you!! It’s so fun at Thanksgiving! All the holiday decorations are up and we always do MVMCP, so it’s a great kick-off to Christmas! The parks are crazy crowded until Sunday, but the crowds really start to thin out after that. One thing I think is cool is that most of the restaurants offer a traditional turkey dinner on Thanksgiving day, so you don’t have to miss that tradition if you like Thanksgiving food!
November 22, 2017 at 11:19 am #56381@ferg, your new tradition sounds beautiful, and a perfect way to honor and remember your daughter I’m so sorry this is your first Thanksgiving without her But I know your home will be filled with love and that she’ll be there with you in spirit

I understand your pain! And what a pain, literally! One of my biggest wishes is for you to be able to have a Thanksgiving in your own home, inviting whomever you want.

missingWDW183 XPI’ll be heading out to my brother’s house minus my husband and my middle one. She’s still in recovery mode and can’t do the almost 2 hour car ride. Love getting together with my family. And the smaller the house the better. That way I don’t go home at the end of the night saying, “Oh my god! I barely saw or talked to…..”. I like my holidays cozy
@ferg what a beautiful gesture your daughter’s friends are making, and what a beautiful way to carry on and remember her. May you all find comfort and peace by being together..
November 22, 2017 at 12:19 pm #56399Thanksgiving has, for better or worse, remained the same my entire life. My parents are only children, so the grandparents (and sometimes other guests) come to our table for Thanksgiving. In recent years we’ve driven our grandmothers over to the house (one is a 10 mile trip, the other 110 miles!). It’s just a blessing to have everyone home and together. You know, though… we aren’t even having turkey this year! Just a home grown beef roast. Which in itself is cool. And delicious. So I won’t complain much. And then Friday… it’s time to decorate!
(And, as is typical, @ferg, others have beat me to it and said it better than I could: what a wonderful tribute! Prayers with you — and everyone — this holiday!)

Have a wonderful, happy, and safe Thanksgiving everyone! Fill your homes with love and and bellies with food! How nice for them to host! Takes a little stress off of you guys and lets them experience the joy (and fear!) of hosting! Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
November 22, 2017 at 1:10 pm #56427Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Count your blessings and all of those whom you treasure….. and then tolerate the rest of them!
