@starbee good luck with grad school!
I am not running any races this year. I was supposed to do a half back in April of 2020, but, ya know. Then I registered to do the same half this October, but that was just cancelled. But that’s ok. I’ve been having some issues with injuries and such. Can’t seem to figure out what’s wrong with my leg. Had xrays, mri, went for pt….still having an issue. So I dunno! I stopped running altogether to rest it, but recently just started back again. Today I ran 1.6 miles. Leg felt good, but I still have this mysterious bump on my shin. I’ll keep adding miles and see how it goes. I’d like to get back to half marathon running, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
If the only thing I can do for the rest of my life, pain free, is a 5K, then so be it. And then I will be at race weekend running my little race, and then cheering all the other dcot runners on for their races!!!

My Virtual Series medals have arrived! Much nicer presentation than previous years. I didn’t take issue with the previous packaging which was just plastic wrapped medals stacked on top of one another in a small box maybe 4x4x3 inches but it has definitely been upgraded this time around.

I really need to make a home for all my medals. I have collected so many over the past couple years and they’re currently all just hanging together on three coat hooks by the door to the garage. I have some ideas but need to finish working it out.

I believe that RIDisneyPinGuy just started for Dopey 2023 but I think you already knew that.

No Disney runs, but a 5k in March, 10k in April, and half marathon in May. Hopefully I’ll find something for February so I don’t have any empty months. LOL

I started training for Dopey 2023 on the 1st. First possible race is the Shoveltown 5k in March. Up in the air if I want to pony up for an early season race… especially with my current conditioning, and the question of COVID cancellations on events. May just do my own 5k if the fam-o will help in support, and actually earn one of the last two virtual from last summer (used training run/walks for submitted time  ).

So I’m at 5 consecutive days of activity and logging meals. 4 days I walked (yesterday work prevented it, but got in a 15 minute stretch).
I am using the LoseIt! app and trying to complete their #log100 challenge. Log foods/activities for the first 100 days of the year. I’m also going with the ‘No Days Off’ mentality this year. I’m not being foolish and skipping rest days, but rest can be active. I plan on stretching or enjoying some unstructured physical activity for at least 30 minutes those days.
For 2022, this is the way :mando:

My current streak of daily logging and generally better eating is at 21 days completed. I have exercised in some form most of those days. I am closing on the end of my first week on a 5k training plan, and it has been challenging. I have lost 16lbs since 1/1 so at least I have that going for me… 40-ish to go by January.
