VikingMickey53 XPBottom line is, you’re gonna love it.
This’ll be our 13th F&W, with dear friends we converge with, to play at WDW in Autumn.
Food is really good and have learned lots of new dishes to try back home then.
We don’t do any ADR’s anymore on those days (to include a dinner one) either, because we are so full from
totally enjoying so many kiosks throughout the day/evening.
Catch the Eat to the Beat music @ American Pavillion in the evening/nite.August 1, 2017 at 7:14 am #42142Thank you @Viking Mickey for the awesome advice It sounds like you really have a fabulous time at F&W!!
August 1, 2017 at 10:35 am #42200Guys, don’t worry if you miss the Chase Lounge. It REALLY was no big deal. It was a room, with a self-serve soda machine and some chairs. It was nice to get a free soda but wasn’t something you wanted to spend a lot of time in. If you need a break, catch the show in America as it has a/c and is more entertaining than the Chase Lounge was! Plus, when at Food & Wine, why waste calories drinking soda when there are SO MANY better calories to consume?!
August 1, 2017 at 11:12 am #42208Word on the street is that Chase is not sponsoring as in years past. Kind of weird since they are the ones with the Disney Visa.
That makes no sense to me since they have a partnership or something to that affect with the Disney Visa. They could still keep the lounge and get a different sponsor. But I wonder if they’re about to cut ties with Chase. I had to order a replacement card today and when I explained that the card I have is a Disney Visa and I wanted to make sure I got a replacement Disney Visa as opposed to a generic card, they said “We’re not doing Disney rewards anymore” whatever that means. But she is still sending me a Disney card

I just wanted to go one time to see the views. The A/C would have been a bonus though! The DVC Member lounge in Future World does look much better than the Chase lounge, I just wish I could have gone one time.

Disneydana12 XPI’ve gone several times and it’s one of my favorite things to do! I think my favorite thing is the filet mignon and cheese soup in Canada. We usually put $50 each on a wristband and take turns getting in lines, and we share each thing we get. I always make a list of things I want to try and take it with me and make my way around the world. The downside is that you don’t get to eat at any of the restaurants because you’re so full, and Epcot is my favorite place to dine! As for other foods, everything I’ve ever tried in France has been the worst! That even includes the restaurants food as well. I swear, their entrees taste like Lean Cuisines to me….and I’ve had to live my life on those. I’m talking EXACTLY like them. I must just not like French food. I remember liking the chocolate whiskey lava cake they had at the Ireland booth….let’s see…the kaluha slider would have been good I think had it been warm, but I’ve tried it twice and can’t quite understand what the whoop is about. The butter chicken in Africa is nothing special. I remember Korea being good and whoever had the perogies being good as well. The scallop was okay but not to die for… But yeah…get the filet mignon. lol
August 5, 2017 at 1:10 pm #42921@starbee — I think I figured out why Chase isn’t having their lounge! It was upstairs in the USA pavilion. That area is now under construction for the new Club 33 at Epcot, I think.
August 5, 2017 at 1:25 pm #42923August 5, 2017 at 1:27 pm #42924You are welcome! We were all kind of sad/mad at Chase and I thought, well, it isn’t really their fault!
August 5, 2017 at 7:52 pm #42935@Ferg thanks for the info, but bad for me because this is my first time at F&W and I have a Chase Visa!! :|
August 5, 2017 at 9:26 pm #42940didn’t they used to have a lounge in one of the extra buildings between future world and Mexico? i remember wandering in once looking for a bathroom and seeing a bunch of people camped out to get out of the heat and to plug in.

I think that is still there during F&W but is a place that sells beer and is open to all, not just Chase members. But the a/c is still nice and cold!
August 20, 2017 at 11:36 am #45096Thanks @VikingMickey now I’ll never have to wonder what the view was like

Supernee5 XPI’m just sad there will be no hard pineapple cider! I had it last year at the Flower and Garden festival, and it wasn’t at Food and Wine last year or listed this year! It was the best hard cider I have ever tasted!
