This time of year at Magic Kingdom, the Disney villains run amuck amuck amuck amuck amuck amuck amuck! When it comes to Disney villains, there’s standing room only in the Stable of Sinister Sisters, but who better to introduce these villains around Halloween than a trio of actual sisters: Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson? From September through October, on select nights, Magic Kingdom hosts the hard ticket event of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Along with exclusive access to the park attractions, this party features a special firework spectacular, a ghostly parade, and this show led by these three hilarious witches!

It’s a well-known fact that part of what makes many Disney movies so good is the well-placed villains. Some people love them. Some people hate them. Most people love to hate them! Disney uses Halloween as an opportunity to show park guests that there couldn’t possibly be as thrilling of a Disney World if Peter Pan didn’t have Captain Hook, Ariel didn’t have Ursula, and Alice didn’t have the Queen of Hearts!

This show debuted as a replacement to the Villains Mix and Mingle on September 15, 2015. It was added to the D-COT Jukebox on October 16, 2017. After years of the sisters being believed to be gone for good, they return to cast a new spell, but they need some special ingredients that only the Disney villains can provide. During the show they conjure up the likes of the Shadow Man, Oogie Boogie, Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Hades, Jafar, Captain Hook, Cruella De Vil and Lady Tremaine. The show reaches its pinnacle when Winifred sings the classic song, “I Put a Spell on You.”

The show quickly became a ghoulishly delightful alternative to its predecessor as fans of the Sanderson Sisters gathered in droves to see it! On the D-COT Jukebox, the show has gained seasonal popularity with a play count of 554, 3 of those times played this week. 9 Members have added it to their Favorites and Supporters have added it to 8 Custom Playlists. It has a 4.2/5 average rating with 25 spells – eh, votes – cast. It may be a show filled with despicable characters, but fear not! Remember the party is “not so scary,” with Disney the good guys win in the end, and after all – it’s just a bunch of hocus pocus!
