I saw this earlier. I’m glad I’m DVC, so I won’t be affected by this change, but still I think it’s so dumb  They should just raise the nightly rate if they want more money.

I liken this to when ice cream makers started selling us less ice cream for the same price. Don’t insult my intelligence, just raise the darn price! You’re going to do it soon enough anyway!

Does Disney want us to stay off site or something? Or not go to their property at all?

Stephen, when we go, can we pick you up and take you to the resort, then, for a small fee, have you take our car back to your parents’ place for the duration of our stay? :P

I think they think one of two things, either:

    1) They’re hoping you’ll continue to stay on-site, but not bring your car, therefore you are locked in to being on Disney property for your entire trip. No eating or shopping elsewhere and no visiting Universal

    2) They know every other nearby hotel does it and people still stay there, so they think they should jump on the bandwagon and do the same thing. After all, attendance is at a high despite other ways in which they’re nickel and diming guests so clearly no one will care

Either way, this is a mistake.

@PA_Timekeeper it will be very quick that some starts offering that service.

I totally agree! I’m DVC, too, and I still think it stinks for non-DVC guests! (And, I won’t be surprised one bit when they announce that DVC is suddenly included, too!)

@PA_Timekeeper I’ll provide the business if you pay the same as the new valet, $33 :smirk:
Not that I agree with this in any way
