Charging for parking at resorts is crap anyway, but in my world this really, specifically, affects those with disabilities. Most people fly in and take advantage of the Disney transit system. But for people with disabilities, this isn’t always an option. Flying is very difficult for persons in wheelchairs and for persons with autism. So many drive.
Then many don’t take the transit system for the same reason. Hassle with space with wheelchairs, and the sometimes loud and unfamiliarity of buses for those with autism.
So this extra fee hits hardest on those who are already probably affected greatly by other inconveniences and costs.
It’s just another penny loaded onto the scale for those with disabilities. And I can guarantee no person at Disney thought of this at any given moment.

luckily i already booked our June trip but this makes me :donald:
what the $22/day to park at the parks isn’t enough? this is what my hubby said about Disney “they keep increasing the costs like this and we will stop going”

I also see nothing about AP

As I understand it, AP holders have to pay the parking fees  I think DVC members staying on points are the only exemptions…for now. I expect that will change soon.

I for one am looking at the possitives! Hopefully many people stop going so its less crowded for me! I will continue to go and gladly not pay for parking due to our investment in DVC. And if thats taken away there’s always uber. As I said earlier with minimum wage fights across the country and rising insurance premiums and people willing to sue at the drop of a dime the rising costs will never change.
