Fast Pass Frustrations…

This morning was my FP+ day for our September 2 – 9th vacation. My MAIN GOAL was to get Flight of Passage (FoP) FP for our AK day of September 3rd. When I logged into My Disney Experience (MDE) at 6:45am… and then refreshed at exactly 7:00am there was ZERO FoP FP’s available for any time at all on Sept 3rd.
There were FP’s for Navi River all time periods all during the day – but zero for FoP. So I got a FP for Navi River.. … :| I tried to get FoP FP’s for other days during the week, and I WAS able to get a 9:00am FoP FP for our very last day (Friday Sept 8th). We are SUPPOSED to be at Epcot that morning, but we have Park Hoppers so we’ll be able to go between the parks as often as we want to. We usually use Uber to go between the parks… its just a couple bucks each ride. No big deal… just gotta be flexible !
I’ve tried to check MDE several times in the past 2 hours to see if any FoP FP’s pop up for 2 or 4 people, but none at all on the 3rd still.
So FRUSTRATING!!!! How is EVERY. SINGLE. FASTPASS already booked for that entire day? Craziness!!! Anyway… thats enough venting

Expedition EverestWe usually rope drop a park every morning and ride the most popular ride at each park first thing… Space Mountain, RockNRoller Coaster, Test Track, and we are going to TRY to Rope Drop Flight of Passage on September 3rd. If we are successful, we will then re-evaluate our plan to see if we want to keep our current FP for FoP on the 8th and go back to AK for a 2nd morning, or if we want to switch it up to the original plan and get FP’s for Epcot.
Also, we utilize the system to our fullest, and are usually able to get 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th FP’s each day in the parks.

I write about this crappy experience with FoP fastpasses only to give y’all a ‘heads up’. I was not prepared for this frustration this morning.

@10dedfish yep… thats our plan. Well, we are not going to get there at 6:30am
but we will be there at 8:00am for a 9:00am park opening. We usually eat our breakfast in line waiting for the rope drop 
I’m also going to keep trying for a FoP FP . It will become my new obsession
I just chatted with a CM concerning my reservation, I was trying to see if I could book FPs right now even though my check in is February 3rd, since I have tickets on my MDE I could only see 30 days out, got worried a bit! But Marty said it’s because it wasn’t a package and purchased separately. Phew! Should see my FP+ window pop up on December 5th. Anyway, here are a few screen shots concerning FP+ tips for snagging hard to get attractions!
that stinks ! I feel that way when I try to book Be Our Guest, its hard to believe they go so fast when you are on there right at that time they are available. Frustrating ! you did get some good rides though !
Scary part is that is a SLOW time of the year
History shows that this is/was a slow time…. it may still be. My only suggestion is to keep checking stand by wait times and maybe just do that IF you don’t get any fast passes. Good luck in your search!
It all depends on deals offered to other countries, September 2015 was much busier than previous years, I think they had deals going on which attracted visitors from South America (I think it was) that year. It was loco!
Anyhoo, back to the topic! So did ya snag any yet?
@Acamm something to remember is that once it is open for someone’s vacation they can make FPs for their entire trip…so everyone whose vacation started even a day before yours can make them for the entire week! FoP is better reserved for the end of the week

This is true but I still find it hard to believe that everything they have for September 3rd would be taken already by those getting FPs through length of stay. (And while it may still be crazy busy that day, it’s not peak season a la Spring Break, Thanksgiving and Christmas). If Aimee had tried hours after the 7am EST window, I would totally believe it.
This bums me out for getting our FPs next month. I’ve never had issues before :|

@jamiedawn27, that’s exactly what the CM I chatted with today said, later in the week, better chances. Never thought of it that way before!
