I think it is not weird, but strange that it took 5 years. I work in petro-chemical engineering and have seen several units in plants designed, built and running in that 5 years. Anyone remember, did it take over five years to build Batu?

Just researched it, took less than 2.5 years to build Batuu. Bear in mind that they closed the area 2 years before they broke ground and announced what it would be almost 1 year before they started construction. But even if you include all that time, it was still completed in less time than TRON.

I kinda detailed this thread a little earlier and I apologize for that folks!

If you’re looking for the subsequent replies, I split the thread, leaving the TRON topic here and my tangent over here

It’ll probably work the same way the locker system works at Universal. They have a locker area, you use your park ticket (or in this case Magic Band, possibly the mobile app) to open a locker to store your stuff then after the ride scan your ticket again, the locker opens and you get your stuff

The way of the future. Look for all coaster type rides to utilize this from now on probably.

    Saw this headline:

Disney Begins Cleaning Filthy TRON Lightcycle Run Building Ahead of Grand Opening at Magic Kingdom

Uh, is it just me or should that:

    A) Have told them that it has taken wayyyyyyyy too long to build.
    B) Tells them that the exterior or the building will need to bee cleaned ever 3 or so years! Read “upkeep nightmare!” Sigh. :(
