We are back. Wow. This was one for the record books.

First, Steve and Chelle, so nice to see you both and the family. So nice of you to take a moment out of your busy day to see us.

Okay the trip.

This was a unique adventure because I rented an RV and drove. We left Phoenix on 2/6 and arrived in LaFayette LA on 2/8 where I picked up DD36, DSIL38 and DGD8. We then drove a bit and arrived at the Campgrounds on 2/10. First challenge that failed: Finding a place to camp on 2/9. We didnt know you have to have reservations before 8 or you dont get in. Thank You Mobile Wal Mart for not kicking us out of the lot in the rain. Thank God for generators. Second challenge that failed: Overhead bunk didnt work. This was a queen size bed that didnt work. Now our RV that sleeps seven only sleeps 5 and there are 8 of us. Kudos to the wifey for suspecting problems and bringing along the self inflating queen air mattress. 3rd fail: The RV had two commodes. The master worked fine, the front one backed up. 4th Fail: Plungers do not work on RV commodes. 5th Fail: Sinks are now backed up. Yes ladies and gentlemen, Day one, lots of fail.

We adjusted and had a great time at WDW. The Flight of Passage (the hardest fast pass to get in Disney today and Chelle nailed it), was incredible. A cross between Mission Space and Star Tours….. Just OMG.

Okay, time to go home. HAH! You thought the Fails ended didnt you. Nope. 12 hour drive to LaFayette LA. Made it, whew, and we learned to book RV spots and got the same one we had a week before in LaFayette. Unpacked my daughters family and head over. Stick key in the compartment to hook up power. Snap! 6th Fail: Key breaks and I cannot hook up power, water or dump. JOY! 7th Fail: Yes there are more: Call 24 hour locksmith and service says, “No, we cannot rekey off hours, call in morning”. We do and the guy says, “What? We rekey at night?” He rekeys unit, we dump and water up and head out. We need to get to Fort Stockton and Google shows us a way that cuts off an hour. GREAT! It does and we are smoking. Winds are picking up and with a high profile RV, I really need to get to Fort Stockton. We are due to arrive at 9:30. Stop for gas at Loves. Lets see, what fail am I on, Im losing count. (backtracking text). Because of my unit size I am forced to gas on outer pumps. There is a guy halfway though his pumping. He finishes. 8th Fail: He walks away leaving his pickup in the pump line FOR 30 FREAKING MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF! I lose my grip and pull in behind him because there is a similar moron in front of him WHO DID THE SAME DAMN THING!!!!! He gets back and wants me to move. Silly me, “I am disinclined to acquiesce” – Captain Barbosa: .and show him the California State Bird. Now he is pissed because the guy in front of him is inside doing what he did. Finally, they both move. We lose 45 min of our hour cushion.

I finish up gasing and wifey sees a DQ. Oh I want a Hot Fudge Sundae! Okay, we havent eaten, why not. Pull in 9th Fail: Apparently our skin tone was too light. They took our order and money, but wouldnt cook the food. 45 min later, the wifey is ready to rip a head off and we finally get our food. My Buster Bar is melted. /cry

Now, we are 30 minutes overdue. Arrive at Fort Stockton at 11 pm. Winds were brutal. Last day of travel, or so we think. The Arctic Express invades the west. I am fighting 30 mph winds and we have to stop in Tucson for safety reasons. 10th fail: Heater doesnt work because we ran out of LPG (wasnt filled before leaving apparently) and it gets down to 40 degrees. The Wifes is like the snow troll in Frozen when she is cold……

Wake up, unplug, eat, head out. Wifey and I are Grumpy. (Get it, Grumpy, it was a WDW Trip! Meh, should fire my joke writer). We made it!!! We are home. Wow, what a trip. We unload, unpack, wash the RV, clean the inside and crash in our chairs. You thought this was over didnt you. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA Silly you

11th FAIL!!!!: SOMEONE READENDS THE RV IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We hear a crash and run outside. His car is totaled! He says, I didnt see it. OMG! IT IS A 35 FOOT 5 TON VEHICLE!!! HOW COULD YOU NOT SEE IT!

I stressed for 16 days I wouldnt wreck this thing. It was a bear to drive. I am in my chair exhaling a sigh of relief I didnt total this 100k vehicle and someone rear ends it and I am not even in it.
