Friday April 21st:
6:45am alarm. It was busy at 8:15am in the food court. We had realized yesterday that when we bought our car magnets that we had more than we intended to have because they stuck together! And we were charged for each of them. Luckily, we had heard that you can return any official RunDisney merchandise to any Disney store location on property. So we popped into our gift shop after eating and were quickly refunded for the extra magnets. We got out to the main bus stop just 2 minutes before the EPCOT bus pulled up. We chatted with a fellow racer on the bus ride there. We love the AP Turnstiles because we got through that with no line at all and made it just after the 9am opening. Test Track had a 40 minute standby wait time so we opted for single rider with just a 5 minute wait! My basic car I selected won best in car! We walked some shops. Then got our picture taken with the Chip & Dale Topiary. Then to the Donald Topiary. Teri was just arriving so we met her and got the 3D butterfly picture all together. Soarin jumped up to an hour wait, so we opted to go ride Nemo. Then used our group Character FP. It was so fun! Goof stole Ryan’s hat and sunglasses while I was still chatting with Mickey. I told Goofy I’m sorry he had to smell Ryan’s hat. So then he kept sniffing Ryan. It was so hilarious, we were nearly in tears! For our picture with Goofy, Goofy put Ryan’s hat on Goofy’s nose and put Ryan’s glasses on my face. Then Goofy was trying to do training of running and squats with Teri. Over to Minnie and Teri was wearing stripes and Minnie had her polka dots. Teri commented how she forget to Rock her Dots that day. So Minnie went to the CM and took a piece of paper and a sharpie from her. Minnie took a few minutes and had drawn Teri a picture of a polka dot dress and had her hold it up in her pictures! It was so much fun!!!!
We then stopped into Starbucks for some caffeine of cold iced teas to carry with us!!! We walked World Showcase. Stopped in the Japan store, I can’t wait for them to finish the remodel! We took topiary pics along the way. We snacked at food booths along the way. At Northern Bloom we had Beef Tenderloin Tips, mushroom bordelaise sauce and whipped potatoes and carrots. Holy cow, so good!!! At Fleur De Lys we had Poulet aux ecrevisses Riz Pilaf baked chicken and crawfish served on rice pilaf. Ryan like this one, I didn’t because it all tasted like fish and I don’t like fish. But he really enjoyed it. At Florida Fresh we had Carne Asada with a black bean cake and cilantro lime sour cream. So yummy!!!!!! We stopped by Japan and got our first ever Kakigori Strawberry flavored. Wow, we’ve been missing out all of these years! This was so good! It wasn’t overly sweet and tasted like real strawberries, not artificial! We remembered we had a SSE FP so we quickly walked the rest of World Showcase with no real stops, just snapped topiary pics along the way. SSE was a 20 minute standby and we squeaked in on the last few minutes of our FP window. We actually still had about a 5 minute wait in FP. Ryan and I then went to use our Frozen FP while Teri waited for us, she couldn’t get a FP for it. Teri and I took sister pics with the Ana and Elsa Topiary. We had lunch in China of beef and noodles. We walked Teri to the front by 2:30pm because she had to go get my niece from school. Ryan and I got in line for Soarin with a 45 minute wait. We didn’t mind because it was really hot out and the AC felt amazing! We then went to complete World Showcase and started in Mexico and rode the boat ride. More pics of Topiaries we missed. We saw the acrobats perform in China. We then stopped in Germany to pick up caramel corn, Rice Krispie Treat and a chocolate covered caramel with sea salt. While walking by France, we saw the chair acrobat performing. Wow, that unnerving!! We were out of the park by 5pm and took a bus to Disney Springs to meet Teri and family. We waited about 15 minutes for a bus and were dropped off by 5:30pm.
We went to Fit2Run for Ryan to check out some shoes and Teri and family met us there. We then walked to Polite Pig for dinner. Holy cow!! This place was so yummy!!!!!!!! We had pork shoulder, sweet potato tots, sweet roll and coleslaw. I loved everything but the coleslaw. We met our friends Corey and Amy (along with their 3 kids) they had just driven into Orlando from Ft. Meyers to see us. We all watched the human statues on the way to World of Disney. We walked WofD for a while. Then over to Pandora store (jewelry). Just after 8pm our family and friends were tired and ready to go to their hotel and home for the night. We walked them to their parking garage. Maelea (Corey and Amy’s oldest) made Ryan and I a sweet card saying how excited she was to see us, she’s nearly 9. We said our goodbyes. Ryan and I strolled a bit long on our way to the boat dock to Riverside. We stopped in Erin McKenna’s and I picked up a Gluten free triple chocolate cupcake. I carried it with to Ghiradelli for Ryan. There was a really long wait there, but we snagged a table inside in the AC while we waited for his order. Once he got his, I dove into my cupcake. It was so insanely good!!! You would have no clue it was gluten free and the frosting just melted in your mouth. I was in heaven!!!! Ryan really enjoyed his hot fudge sundae too! We walked through the Co-Op shop and saw the cute Dress Shop! So many fun Disney dresses!! We then walked the kitchen shop and made our way to the boat dock. We were on our boat by 10pm and arrived at RS at 10:20. Since we were by the food court, we filled up our mug and walked to our room. Lights out at 11:30pm.
