@starbee W W That is really close!!!
December 23, 2019 at 11:47 am #1222207 training runs left before Dopey for us, including:
5 paced workouts, and
2 distance runs!December 29, 2019 at 5:20 pm #122385Just a PSA for you all. I’m still using a “dumb” phone. I have a smart phone on order, but it may not arrive before Dopey. (I’ll let you know if it does). Until then my phone doesn’t do well receiving texts with smart punctuation or emojis – particularly from iPhones. They come to me completely garbled. (so that last one you sent @starbee didn’t come in clear )
Sorry for the inconvenience to you all…I really wish my phone didn’t have this problem
@starbee @nascfan @eeyorepoohfan UPDATE!!! I got my new smart phone and it’s activated. So I can take any messages your phones can dish out!December 29, 2019 at 6:06 pm #122388Woohooo! I’m very happy! Be ready!

January 2, 2020 at 11:29 am #122514Packing PSA for anyone flying in to race: Bring at least your first full day’s worth of things you need to race in your Carry-On bag just in case your airline loses your luggage. I found my wife and I could squeeze 2 days worth of running gear and a day of plain clothes into 1 carry on.
January 3, 2020 at 11:55 am #122568@RocketEAR99 That’s exactly what we did! We did carry on with nutrition, Tail Wind, water bottles, Mylar Blankets and several race “outfits” for various temps in our carry on bag! That way you are covered no matter what!
January 3, 2020 at 12:03 pm #122569I am not one to typically look at FL weather this far out and hold it to be true. However, there is a storm that should be moving in and bringing in very hot and wet conditions. Do plan your wardrobes accordingly! So now that everyone has prepped to freezing race start temps, switch the plan and also be ready for hot and humid and possibly we races. I have my winter gear ready, but now we’ve also packed our cool cloths that you soak in water. I tuck these into my pocket for a race and dunk it into a cup of water every few miles to keep my body temps in check. Don’t forget your sunscreen, visors and hats if you wear them. The temps might end up being all over the place, but plan for everything! Take extra ponchos too!
January 3, 2020 at 12:31 pm #122570I have everything I need to cover my butt! Literally and figuratively
January 3, 2020 at 12:33 pm #122571I don’t know what’s worse! I need to double check how many ponchos I bought. I may need to pick up a couple more
January 3, 2020 at 12:33 pm #122572I have everything I need to cover my butt! Literally and figuratively
Oh my gosh I can’t
