I know that Steve and I live streamed about Pandora last week but I wanted to bring up an answer to a question someone had.
Someone asked about the Flight of Passage ride and being “pooh-sized”.
Here is an article from someone who refers to herself as “fluffy”. When we were on it, there was someone who had to leave. I didn’t pay much attention to it, but @steve said he heard something about the back not latching. Hopefully the issue gets resolved!
The Scoop on Flight of Passage for Guests Who Are of a Certain Size
May 23, 2017 at 1:12 pm #28667Thanks so much for sharing that! We’re bringing a friend on our next trip that is “pooh-sized” and the last thing I want to do is embarrass her. Looks like we’ll be skipping this attraction on our next trip
May 23, 2017 at 3:18 pm #28693Bummer! It is a really neat ride! I had the opposite problem. I was so nervous about it that when they said go ALL the way forward, I did… then the back came up and I couldn’t breathe. SO, they had to loosen it

bexruns374 XPThere’s a roller coaster similar to this at Knotts Berry Farm where you’re on a horse and you lean way forward and then the back comes up behind you and presses you to the front. I hate it for this exact reason. Should I ever get to WDW looks like I may have to pass on this one
May 24, 2017 at 7:24 pm #29147@chelle thanks for posting the video! Pandora looks absolutely amazing and so immersive! I feel like that’s what makes AK so great is the immersiveness of it. I’m glad to see Pandora is following suit. Thank you for posting the link about the ride too.
May 25, 2017 at 6:14 pm #29316I also saw on a RUMOR site that they have a “test chair” outside of FoP for people to see if they will fit. We haven’t been there since Mother’s Day so I can’t confirm this. I’m not sure this makes it any better, though. it’s embarrassing either way to have to “test” the seat… but I guess it spares those who it won’t accommodate a trip into the queue line.

StupidJudy71 XPPandora is officially open and the line as of 9am was 195 minutes for Flight of Passage and 120 for Navi River, earlier they had EMH for AK and the line just to get to Pandora was insane. Would you stand in line and wait over 3 hours for a ride? I am always surprised that people actually wait for that long when I see the stand by times over two hours! I won’t even get in queue if it’s over 60 min!

We don’t wait if it’s over 15 min lol. Craziness

StupidJudy71 XPI guess the good thing is those people aren’t in the other lines the only line I consider waiting close to 60 min is Soarin’ if we don’t have FPs.

I think it’s a mix of 1) people not knowing the FP system/being too late 2) people wanting to be first to experience it at any cost 3) this might be a one and done trip for some people in which case they’ll put up with it so they don’t miss out
I’m with y’all, if it’s something I really want to ride and not miss out on, I’ll wait for 45 minutes max. Anything over that is an immediate no, and for rides that aren’t a must-do every trip 30 minutes is my absolute max wait time.

This is the bright side

They have test seats outside of most Universal attractions. One is always a regular seat and sometimes the other is a “modified” seat for “guests with larger body dimensions” if those types of seats are available on the ride. There are always people sitting in those seats for fun and taking pictures of themselves, so I wouldn’t be embarrassed at all to go test one. Some people use it just to see if they can handle the restraints. They vary a lot between the different ride types and it saves time waiting in line too if you get to the ride vehicle and you can’t handle the restraints
May 27, 2017 at 8:27 pm #29668Yeah, not happening. 30 minutes is pretty much my max time. Would have to be really important and the only chance I had at all to get me to wait any longer. On the bright side, Everest and Safaris had low wait times today!
