@eeyorepoohfan Winnie is precious! She has such a sweet face. Both of our dogs are rescues. I truly feel like they know they have been saved and are so sweet/thankful. My husband and I said we will never get anything but rescue dogs. They make the best pets.
January 22, 2017 at 3:48 pm #8926Well, best of luck to you this weekend! Hopefully your players get over their “flu” and will make it a game to remember!
A few of the Packers have the flu as well.
I guess today is the day. Hope your party is highly entertaining. Make sure every ones headsets are functional and I pray there are no fire alarms.
GO BLACK AND GOLD!

(I couldn’t pick just one.)I went to Disney for the first time when I was 6 years old and have been going back for more Magic ever since. My mom, dad, & sister are Disney fanatics as well. Unfortunately, my sweet husband is not. Bless his heart. Thankfully, he doesn’t care how many times I go. So I go to Disney and he goes hunting. He has said that now we have a child he’ll go back once Cole is old enough to go. I’m very much looking forward to that Disney vacation. I can’t wait to teach Cole about all things Disney. Disney truly brings me daily happiness. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about it or wish I was there. When I’m there I try to soak up as much Magic as possible. Life/reality can be tough sometimes and the Magic from Disney that lives in my heart helps me get through whatever’s going on. I’m so thankful for D-COT where I can listen to music and hangout with fellow Disney fans.
January 22, 2017 at 7:30 pm #8948Yea Katie! I’m glad you posted here, I knew your name from “old” D-cot but wasn’t sure about using it in replies and such now. And your son is adorable! I can’t wait for you guys to experience it with him and hearing the stories!
January 22, 2017 at 8:11 pm #8961Aww thanks Scott! Yes, you can use Katie instead of disneybug. Thank you…yes I’ll definitely keep y’all post on Cole.
January 22, 2017 at 9:05 pm #8965@disneybug Thank you so much! I agree about rescues!!!!! We wouldn’t trade her for the world! So many shelter dogs need good homes, if only people would give them a chance! Our Winnie knows she was saved for sure. She loves to give us hugs by burring her head in our laps and giving us lots of kisses.
January 23, 2017 at 8:27 am #8970@disneybug Hi Katie! So happy you’re here! I’m sorry your hubby isn’t really into it, but at least he lets you go and does his own thing! Hopefully that will change when he can see the magic through your son’s eyes, I think that can make a big difference.
January 23, 2017 at 11:17 am #9034@disneybug, totally get it. My boyfriend tolerates Disney because of my obsession. He doesn’t care how often I go, and goes with me at least once a year when we make a full vacation out of it,
January 23, 2017 at 12:03 pm #9060@kcboston Thanks I love being here! I wish my husband, James, loved Disney like I did too. Yes I agree I think when James sees Cole at Disney it’ll make a difference. Other people have told James that there is something super special about going with your child and watching them experience Disney.
@imarebelpilot I’m glad your boyfriend is tolerant and doesn’t care how much you go either. They may not understand our obsession but at least they don’t cramp our Disney style. That’s nice that he’ll go with you once a year!

February 23, 2017 at 2:28 pm #14995Hi! I’ve been thinking that I needed to try and find a “getting to know you” type thread and I just stumbled on it.
I’m Connie. I live in Central Texas with my husband of 20 years and our daughter of not-quite-10.
The hubs and I “discovered” WDW for the first time on our honeymoon in 1996. We have now traveled there a total of 4 times as a couple and 3 times as a family. As of right now, we have a trip in the works for this summer but haven’t actually booked anything yet.
I don’t really like to claim a favorite park or a favorite ride or a favorite anything…. My favorite stuff changes from moment to moment. Well, my favorite color is blue. That hasn’t changed in a few years now. But, you never know.
I can say that my favorite type of Disney souvenirs is any item that I can use in regular life. On a daily basis, I use my Disney Vera Bradley lanyard, Disney D&B or Disney VB purse, Epcot Tervis cup, and there’s been a WDW calendar on my wall at work every year since 2009.
Well, now that I’ve introduced myself, I’m gonna head back to the top of the thread and get to know all of my new best Disney buds.
