I’m sad to report that the face masks I ordered from ShopDisney have been a bust I followed the size guidelines and ordered medium for me and large for hubby. These masks run ridiculously small! The medium size does not fit me and is so small I think it would only fit young children, not toddlers but probably 7-9 year olds. The large is too small for hubby but does fit me. Looks like I’ll be able to wear the masks I ordered for him but now I’m stuck with 4 masks I can’t wear because there are no refunds or exchanges (which I understand but I feel like these are defective and therefore deserve a refund).
Looking at online reviews it looks like everyone is saying the same for those of you visiting Walt Disney World these are the exact same masks they’re selling in the parks and for hygiene reasons you can’t try them on ahead of time so be warned, the sizing chart is woefully inaccurate. I don’t think any size is likely to fit an adult male.
June 25, 2020 at 9:37 am #135766Thanks for reporting this as I feel awareness on the sizes is very important. I would think that if you bang on the door a little harder they would refund you the money regardless. Which designs did you get?
June 25, 2020 at 9:45 am #135767@starbee that sucks!!!!!
June 25, 2020 at 9:51 am #135769@starbee Thanks for the heads up. I think my Mom ordered some too. Guess I won’t be able to wear one. If she did get some, I’ll let you know if its the same for those too.
June 25, 2020 at 9:58 am #135770Thank you so much for reporting on this! Such good information to have, and I’m really sorry that you have been stuck with several too small. They really should refund based on the size.
June 25, 2020 at 10:20 am #135771Oh man, that really stinks! I’ve seen and heard the exact same thing from a lot of people – that the masks, in all sizes, run extremely small. My mom ordered some and is still waiting to get hers. I think she ordered mediums, and I’m guessing they aren’t going to fit her. Not sure what Disney was thinking with the sizing on these!
June 25, 2020 at 10:24 am #135772@steve I’ll try emailing them. The phone lines just hang up on you right now they’re so overwhelmed. I ordered Star Wars for hubby and Pixar for myself
@jamiedawn27 Yeah…
@ccoop73 Hopefully hers fit!
@nascfan Yup, money down the drain because I don’t have kids that can use them. I don’t want anyone else to make the same mistakeJune 25, 2020 at 10:26 am #135774@laprana I hope hers fit! I ordered mine the day they came out and mine arrived yesterday. I see now they’re saying if you order they won’t ship until August. My guess is that Disney got samples from the supplier and made their size chart based on that, but once they went into mass production the sizing did not match the original sample Disney received.
June 25, 2020 at 11:02 am #135777@starbee Thanks!! I think she ordered hers right after they came out, so I’m guessing they’ll get here pretty soon. I bet you’re exactly right! Hopefully they can adjust the sizing as they keep making them or they’re going to have a lot of unhappy customers!

June 28, 2020 at 10:38 pm #136077Same experience. Measured my kids, got smalls for them. They are too small even for my 3 year old (they pull his ears forward and he yelled “ow, that hurts” – for reference, he keeps other masks on fine). I got the Pixar ones. They were sooo cute so we are sad!
June 29, 2020 at 9:38 am #136088@disneygal1234 I believe you! The mediums are small enough for kids so I can’t even imagine how a small would fit! I’m sorry you can’t use yours either
July 1, 2020 at 12:18 pm #136198Another item you can use are called Gaiter Masks. They are more like Scarves that cover you from the top of your nose, down to your neck. I so prefer these to masks. My glasses dont fog with these either.
You can get them in numerous sports patterns, the American Flag among other designs. The website I ordered from gave me sic for $5, but they were patriotic in fashion. I know some people avoid that.
July 1, 2020 at 12:48 pm #136200I have some of those for cold weather running but I prefer the regular face masks. I find the neck gaiters way too hot for our triple digit weather and 90% humidity. Plus I think I look super aggressive I just wanted some cute Disney face masks but I’m out of luck

I don’t think these will fly at WDW…. Disney is pretty specific on what “type” of mask they want you to wear…
