Has everyone seen the trailer for Cars 3? Isnt that what happened to “The Hudson Hornet”?

It did look very familiar. I think it was the site Oh My Disney that said something about Lightning drawing on the wisdom of the late Hudson Hornet or something like that.

The Hudson Hornet wasn’t the only one, The King also had the same concussion like that. I wasn’t sure if it was the official trailer?

Notice that the animation was more realistic then cartoonish? I wonder if the whole movie is going down that road style wise?

I could see the crash from the teaser being in a Lightning McQueen nightmare or premonition based on an anxiety he may have about becoming an aging race car (like the Hudson Hornet).

I have to say, when it was first announced that they were doing Cars 3, my reaction was “why”? I loved Cars but didn’t like Cars 2. At all. I mean…..at all.
The trailer though, does have me intrigued a bit. I probably won’t see it in theaters but once it’s out on digital I’ll give it a shot.

Been waiting for this to come out. I too didn’t like Cars 2 anywhere near as much as Cars but wait anxiously every summer to see the latest Disney movie at the drive-in theater with the whole family. I expect 3 to be better than 2.

@Acamm, Cars 2 felt like some lesser studio got their hands on a Pixar property and had NO idea what to do with it. Very disappointing.

I just saw the trailers and it looks good. I am excited to see it. Not sure if it will be as kid friendly as the first? maybe just the way they are packaging the trailer but I did not get that comedy feel at all.

It definitely felt a bit darker, but I’m hoping it wont be a downer. I mean Up started out very sad and completely redeemed itself, so maybe this will be more of the same?
