bexruns374 XPThis is for all parks so I didn’t know which forum to put it in and I thought this would be as good as any!
Of all the parks (Disney only obvs), what is ONE ride you wish they’d bring back?
For me….I wish they’d bring back the Mike Fink Keelboats. I don’t know what it was about them, but I LOVED going on them. Maybe it’s the nostalgia of riding it with my dad but that’s mine.
What’s yours?
September 28, 2017 at 2:49 pm #50327Only one?? :'(
Well, I wish that they would bring back The Great Movie Ride! I know that its only been gone for like, 2 months maybe, but it was SO AWESOME!

bexruns374 XPI only said one because the lists would never end
If I could add another, it would obviously be the people mover
September 28, 2017 at 3:01 pm #50331Very true, I could totally add a few more too. And OMGOSH I can’t believe they took away your Peoplemover! That would make me sad too! :'(
September 28, 2017 at 3:05 pm #50332Did you know the Mike Fink Keel Boats closed because there was an accident that ended with a few people in water (No fatalities or serious injuries) ?
I would bring back Captain Eo. There are attractions I miss but wouldn’t bring back. They’re gone for a reason.
But Captain EO is gone for a dumb reason and I love Captain EO. :im:Or I’d bring back the entirety of DisneyQuest because that was PURE

Great Movie Ride was outdated. It was great, but it could’ve used an upgrade
September 28, 2017 at 3:07 pm #50334My very first trip ever was in 2007, taking my oldest child who was 5 at the time. So I missed experiencing many of the things people love that are now gone. But I really loved Great Movie Ride. I am excited about the new ride, but will miss that one because, as I have said before, I am a HUGE fan of animatronics!
But for non-rides, I would bring back the Animal Kingdom Parade. I loved all of the music and costumes and floats in that one!
September 28, 2017 at 3:12 pm #50335Without a doubt, I wish they’d bring back Horizons! It’s the ride I most vividly remember from my first WDW visits as a kid. I was amazed at how you could pick the ending and thought it was the coolest thing EVER! I always wanted to ride over and over so we could pick all three endings and not miss any of them. It was so classic Disney…I miss it!
September 28, 2017 at 3:19 pm #50338Hmmm…
If I were a DL guy… I’d perhaps go super-retro… and say Mine Train Through Nature’s Wonderland! Altho someone reminded me that they made Big Thunder Mountain out of that spot, sooo…
And I’d say Horizons, but it would have to be a modern iteration because half of Horizons has come true!
So I’d probably say… Timekeeper. IF it, too, were modernized a bit AND had the spirit of Robin Williams in it again.
But what is timeless and ready to come back as-is? Tapestry of Nations.
September 28, 2017 at 3:43 pm #50348Well, a parade isn’t a ride so I can’t choose something like that. Nor is a special attraction such as the Osborne Spectacle of Lights (which is probably what I’d choose if it wasn’t specified ride).
So I guess I’ll go with Great Movie Ride also. I never experienced Horizons so I can’t really pick that not knowing. Other rides, like Snow White’s Scary Adventures for example, don’t bother me as much as GMR. Oh no wait, Maelstrom! Yeah, maybe Maelstrom over GMR. I can’t choose! :hmmph:

I heard something about that, but wasn’t aware that was the reason for the closure. I hate when people’s behavior makes something close/end.
Captain EO is BOSS. I freaking loved that show. Do we have that track on here anywhere?! @steve! I’m talking to you!

The entire Captain EO show is under the Disneyland playlist. The two original songs are under Epcot.

RIDisneyPinGuy182 XPMaelstrom…
Horizons is a gimmie choice, and I know there will be plenty of pull for it. There are many other rides/attractions/versions retired for good reason, no matter how much I loved them. Some rides were taken too soon, without the opportunity of updating (GMR, UOE, WoL pav, etc.). Maelstrom, however, is the victim of trying to inject a movie in a place it remotely fits, instead of creating something new in a more appropriate location. The ride still boasted strong numbers and was loved by many. The post-ride movie could have used a little help, but the ride was as enjoyable as ever.
Just for shout-outs, the original Imagination with Dreamfinder, and the Pete Reneday TTA would be nice to have back as well.

Nope. That was taken out a fair number of years ago. I believe that space is now used for Princess Fairytale Hall.
