It’s been a while since I’ve updated our trip planning and there’s been some progress!
We finally booked the hotel we’ll be staying at the last two nights. It was more challenging than we had anticipated finding a hotel in Paris that could accommodate 3 people, a lot of the rooms are either double rooms (with one bed or two single beds) or a family suite (which was out of our price range). We were trying to be in a neighborhood that was close to things, so we could have the option of walking places. We found this place, and it seemed like a great fit for us. It had a triple room as an option, it’s cute, and it seems to be in a great area!
Here’s the hotel’s website:

We’ll tour Paris all day Monday, although we have no idea what we’re actually doing in Paris! Alex laughed at me when I told him they give awards for “best baguette in Paris” and that was something we should seek out

there’s so much to do in Paris, you’ll figure something out

August 29, 2017 at 9:28 am #46530We are planning on stopping at Honfleur and Etretat, which are not that far from Le Havre
I guess I missed some stuff! I’m glad you’re going to Honfleur, I think you’ll enjoy that. Is Cammie into art? When I went they had places where adults and kids could paint along the river. Also is Normandy still in your plans?

Cammie likes to draw and paint, my coffee table is covered in watercolor right now
I’ll have to see what’s available when we’re there, I’m expecting things to be pretty quiet since it will be cold when we’re there, but I hope I’m wrong!
We are planning on visiting Normandy on Sunday morning. We are staying in Bayeux on Saturday night, so it’s a quick drive over. We were thinking of heading here:

then going and visiting the beach and cemetery. I thought seeing a film before visiting the beach would help give Cammie some context of what happened. I’m not sure if we’ll have time to visit a museum while we’re there. If we had more time I would have loved to do a tour, but Sunday is kind of our “hit as much as we can” day before we head to Paris for the night.

Thanks! We are so excited about this trip, it’s my first time really traveling outside of the country! Cammie doesn’t know how lucky she is
