Happy Birthday, MGM

Today marks Disney’s Hollywood Studios/MGM’s 31st birthday! 馃帀 On May 1, 1989, Disney-MGM Studios (Theme) Park opened as the third of four聽theme parks聽built at Walt Disney World. Spanning 135 acres, the park is dedicated to the imagined worlds from聽film,聽television,聽music, and聽theatre, drawing inspiration from the聽Golden Age聽of聽Hollywood.

While the parks are closed and no Guests in site, the music is silenced and all you can hear is the wildlife. However, Walt Disney World’s President Josh D’Amaro celebrates MGM’s birthday by turning on the park music. 馃幍
