Figment32 XPOk so this can be a place to talk about Disney stuff, e.g., trip experiences, movies, shopping, etc.
Just general DIS chat.Ever had a perfect day at WDW?
I think mine would have been a Christmas morning in the MK.
Breakfast at CP with a view of the castle and my DD getting to hug her favorite POOH bear.
Walking down MS USA before the park opened for our ADR was amazing.
I know a lot of people complain about the crowds during Christmas week and for good reason, however, there is a great reason why all those people are there.
It’s really extra magical during Christmas.
Walking down MS that morning was the best Christmas gift I ever had.
March 23, 2017 at 9:37 am #18991I am all about this thread! I LOVE talking Disney!!!
@Figment We also spent Christmas week in WDW in 2015… best trip EVER. Yeah there were like a billion people there, but we planned ahead so we didn’t really feel like we were crowded out.Christmas Eve in MK … and Christmas Day in Epcot was the most MAGICAL think I’ve ever experienced
March 23, 2017 at 9:44 am #18992we had our best trip last year at Christmas when we took my dad who is 74, He has not been to Disney in 30 years and he is still talking about how much fun he had,
one of the highlights was when we were having trouble with his scooter and finally got it parked, a cast member saw how frustrated we were and she asked us if we had a fast pass to the haunted mansion, and I said no that is where we were headed but have no fast pass, so the cast member said follow me and put us in the fast pass line and we got right in.March 23, 2017 at 9:46 am #18995
Figment32 XPWhile having breakfast that Christmas morning, we watched tons of people cram into the hub waiting for rope drop.
We just laughed since we had planned on going straight to EPCOT after we ate.
Had a blast in EPCOT on Christmas day with all the story tellers.

That’s great that you had a trip like that with your dad.
March 23, 2017 at 9:51 am #18999I forgot to mention when my kids did the pirate league they had a blast ! The cast members were so true to character and they made my kids feel so special ! I was so happy we did that for them !

Figment32 XPIt’s crazy but we bumped into a Disney store at a mall last weekend and started taking pictures and acting like total Disney nut cases.
Buying stuff and chatting with the CMs. One of the CMs just loves WDW and has a sister that is an Imagineer working on Pandora land.
We went into this huge discussion about WDW while this queueueueeue of shoppers was gathering so they could check out.
We could have gone on for hours.
Love that sort of chance encounter.

How wonderful that your dad had such a memorable trip!
March 23, 2017 at 10:36 am #19019Waking up Christmas Morning at the Coronado Springs Resort was so special. I told both of my kids that our trip was their big present that year, and they had opened their ‘smaller’ gifts at home before we left for our flight (Disney gift cards, shirts, socks, etc….). When we woke up super early to get to Epcot Rope Drop, I told the kids that Santa Clause had come to our hotel…. mind you they were 12 and 19 at the time… and they jumped out of bed Santa Clause had brought them both a new pair of Dr. Dre Beats headphones !! It was hard to smuggle those in our luggage without the kids seeing, bc the boxes are HUGE!
Anyway, that Christmas Day in Epcot was the best EVER! We got to the park 1 hour before they opened… and then at rope drop ran to Test Track… then used our FP for Soarin and Spaceship Earth. The crowds started to pick up, so we went into the things that usually aren’t busy: Imagination, Nemo, Gran Fiesta Tour, etc. We had lunch ADR’s for the Candlelight Processional meal at Via Napoli. We spent the entire afternoon walking around World Showcase and going into the shows: American Adventure, Impressions de France, Oh Canada, etc… We had dinner ADRs at Rose and Crown for ‘Christmas Dinner’. Watching Candlelight Processional on Christmas Night WAS SO AMAZING!
Best Christmas EVER.

Figment32 XPWatching Candlelight Processional on Christmas Night WAS SO AMAZING!
We saw Edward James Olmos give his last performance for that year at the processional. He was in tears and just about everyone watching was crying tears of joy.
It was one of those magical moments that WDW is so famous for creating.
He touched everyone with his passion and sincerity.
I think he performs on an annual basis and I highly recommend him.

missingWDW183 XPI have so many special memories of our trips. But the year my son fell in with Ariel at the Akershus Banquet Hall will always be ranked right at the top. He was so enamored with her and she was just too sweet interacting with him. It was awesome!
March 23, 2017 at 11:04 am #19039@Acamm That does sound perfect! I think I would do a Christmas like that, line up your FPs, leave before it gets too much, just being at the resort would be magical!
