See, people SAY Figment is a walk-on everyday, but I can say from experience, every time I wait for it. :figment: :surprised:
Can we acknowledge Ethan’s face in the Figment post???? LOL
I’ve eaten there once, but today, Sunshine Seasons has no food that interests me.
Spaceship Earth lines can get absolutely ridiculous!!!!! That’s why I hardly ride it :surprised:
You know, there’s really not much to Foxy Brown and I wish Disney would expand on her character, give us some backstory, or merch! She does have a Park Starz Vinylmation but that’s just about it. -_______-

@sej101 Ethan makes that face all the time when I’m taking pics. However, I always tell him that I’m going to post them all on my Facebook and Instagram LOL

You really have no interest in anything at Sunshine Seasons? WOW! They have such an awesome variety! AND they have an amazing gluten free macaroon !!

I didn’t know there was a Foxy Brown Vinylmation! Ethan collects those… I’ve never seen her! I’ll check on Ebay!   Do you collect them?

I’m the same way with pictures…… but only when I’m cooking. :donald:
Gluten is the one of the few things I’m not allergic to, so I’ll pass on that Macaroon. If I want Disney food, it’s either Food and Wine, chicken tenders, or a burger, just because it’s easier for the corn allergy. I have a very wide food palette :goofy:
I don’t collect Vinylmation, but if I see a series at the Cast store that interests me, I’ll buy it. My favorites are the Park Starz because they don’t even follow basic Vinylmation rules! LOL

@Acamm My family LOVES Sunshine Seasons!!! There is such a good variety! I usually go with the baked salmon, mashed potatoes, and rice. BUT, there is so much there! It has become one of our absolute “go to” places at Epcot. :) :epcot: :land:

I don’t remember ever seeing distortion on the original Soarin’ attraction, I wonder why it’s such a problem now and why they didn’t account for it? Thankfully we didn’t have distortion the first time we rode the new version, so when that happened to us on the second time we rode, we’d already experienced it and could laugh it off. I’m with you, Dreamfinder and :figment: were way better, I will never understand why they decided to tinker with it in the first place, but I will take :figment: any way I can get him! We saw 20-30 min waits for Imagination in October :surprised:

I have yet to eat at Sunshine Seasons, just because our last few trips have always been during F&W so we just eat at the booths. But I would love to try it sometime because all of your food looks amazing! I wonder why the hot air balloons don’t move anymore? I never knew they did!

We saw crazy long lines for Spaceship Earth in October too, @Nascfan can back me up on that when we FP’d it together. I still love that ride although I prefer Jeremy Irons’s narration. Do you remember the old scenes that showed Skype/FaceTime? Amazing to think that used to be something we thought we’d do in the future and now we can!

I collect Vinylmation! And I’m just a little obsessed ;) I love the “Foxy Brown” Vinylmation but I don’t own her :( that’s a nickname so if you do search on eBay, you’re unlikely to find her. Try searching for “spaceship earth Vinylmation” or “computer engineer”, you should get some results  I’d love to see Ethan’s collection!

@starbee I’ll have to take a pic of Ethan’s Vinylmation collection for you! He only has maybe 10 or so right now!

I too wish that they would bring Dreamfinder back! He was the BEST!

Yeppers, those Spaceship Earth lines are crazy long these days! About the only time you can just jump on is after 8:00 at night anymore.

@Acamm @starbee We had those same seats for our final Soarin’ experience back in October. They ARE the worst seats! My son and I first saw Soarin’ Around the World at Disney’s California Adventure in October 2016 and the distortion was just as bad there too! You are so right about the Eiffel Tower bending over. It looked like it was struggling to stay erect. I totally agree that the distortion is something that should have been seen and addressed during the revamp process. Unless you are sitting in the “B” Concourse (middle section), then you will most likely experience the distortion.

@Abeach You are totally accurate! The middle section is the only section with little to no distortion. I feel like Disney Imagineers are smart enough to figure out how to correct this issue!! :surprised:

For the Imagineers to fix this problem of Soarin’s distortion, they’d have to re-shoot the footage and figure out how to get it into the attraction. It has to do with the fisheye lens they used to shoot this section, trying to get a wide scope of Paris.

Oh my goodness!! I am loving this trip report so much!!! You guys got so much done, even with the high Christmas crowds! The Christmas party looks and sounds like fun! I’m sorry they only had one GF cookie available! Did you get any of the purchased snacks? I think they had GF cakes and such. Way to make the most of your time each and every day!! I can’t wait to read more as you post more! It is crazy that Figment and SSE have such long waits now! They was almost unheard of a few years ago! You guys are so amazing and hardcore to make it so long at MK on the day of your party! I don’t have that stamina anymore! We used to do rope drop to close every day for 5-6 day trips. We would be exhausted and usually come home sick at the end! Now that we get to go 2-3 times a year, we never spend crazy long days at the parks and often leave before the fireworks! :surprised:

@sej101 Well then I vote for Disney to reshoot the footage and do it right this time LOL

    @eeyorepoohfan
I’m glad you’re enjoying this trip report! It was hard to stay at MK for so many hours, but as you know we only had 2 short days at WDW before the cruise. We kept saying “we can always sleep on the cruiseship” LOL
