    Saturday April 21st:
6am alarm. We were a bit slow going due to the long day yesterday. We were at breakfast at 7:30am and on a bus to MK at 8am. We missed the 8am park opening! LOL But we were on Main Street by 8:30am. We met Scott & Kathy and took castle pics. Then over to Thunder with no wait. Then to Pooh with a 5 minute wait. As per tradition, Scott and I sat in the front row and Ryan and Kathy took the second row. :) Next up was Tea Cups for a virtual walk on. The boys rode together and spun crazy fast. Kathy and I just sat in our tea cup and enjoyed watching the boys spin like crazy! After the boys regained their composure ;) we went over to Buzz with little wait. Space Mountain was showing a 25 minute wait so Ryan, Scott and I got in line while Kathy went to ride Haunted. After our ride through Space, it was time for our Space FP! So we did back to back rides! We met up with Kathy and we all went and used our Thunder FP’s. We then tried to go to Pirates to use our FP’s but it was down. So our passes were a wild card. Ryan and I had to start working our way to EPCOT so we could meet up with Teri and Kailey. So Ryan and I didn’t have the time to ride something else. We grabbed Starbucks on Main Street and then simply tapped our Magic Bands at the Tink meet and greet and said goodbye to Scott and Kathy for now. That way we could try to get FP’s for EPCOT. We made our way to the monorail and they just had the resort loop running.

We were on the monorail when Teri texted that they were parking! We met them at Spaceship Earth. It was like a scene out of a movie where Teri and I just ran to each other, crying and embraced in a huge hug. It was lunchtime so we decided on nachos in Mexico. Small world because we ran into Scott, Kathy and Kelly in line there! We knew they were heading that way but didn’t realize that we would end up in the same place at the same time! We were able to find a large table inside the sit down restaurant (they allow you to sit there with your quick service meal at lunch time). So we had a nice and comfy air conditioned lunch of nachos! It was nice to meet and visit with Kelly! Teri, Ryan, Kailey and I then went to Soarin with a 50 minute standby. It was so hot out that we really didn’t mind waiting in the air conditioned line! It gave us a chance to visit with each other! While in line we realized we were nearly out of water in our pack. So Ryan went to Sunshine Seasons and was able to get two free large cups of ice water! After Soarin around the world we then rode Living with the Land with a 25 minute wait. We saw Kelly in line and chit chatted when we got close to each other. We were very spaced out from each other, but our lanes would get by each other periodically. Another stop at Starbucks! LOL We were hot and tired! We then walked to Impressions de France (the last movie Ryan and I had yet to see in World showcase). We met my cousin Crissy and her teenage daughter when we came out. Her husband was going to be running the half marathon the next day. I hadn’t seen my cousin for at least 7 years. So we caught up a bit. Teri realized she lost her magic band somewhere. She was super bummed because she had been wanting a red one, that’s what she had, and it somehow fell off. Ryan and Kailey went back into Impressions de France to look for it but didn’t find it. We retraced our steps but still couldn’t find it. So we went to Guest Relations. It hadn’t been turned in. But the CM was able to give Teri a new AP slider for her band. We said goodbye to Crissy and her daughter. We then went to Sunshine Seasons for dinner. I had chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. Ryan had the pork loin. Both were yummy and good pre-race fuel. We stopped by Germany to see if they had fresh caramel corn, but they were sold out. On our way there we caught part of the Germany act performing. This was the only chance we would have to see Teri on this trip. So we said our hard goodbyes by 7:30pm. We were back to PORS by 8pm. Ryan and I got all of our race stuff ready for morning. Lights out by 8:30pm.

That was such a fun day too! We had a great morning at MK didn’t we? And lunch with all of us….one of the absolute highlights of the trip! Such a good time! It’s fun to read about all that you guys did while we spent the afternoon with Kelly. It still makes me sad about Teri’s magic band. Great report, I am just loving reliving this with you!

We did have so much fun at MK that morning!! And it was so funny to run into you guys at lunch when none of us had talked about it! I was sad for Teri about her band too. Ryan ordered a red one for our trip next week and his plan is to swap her puck into the band so she can have a red one!

Sounds like the parks were relatively “empty” compared to other time frames…

The parks weren’t too bad at all! It helps that the race was in late April and so kids weren’t on spring break and it was far enough from Easter. So next year the races are at the beginning of April and Easter falls at the end of April. I don’t know how Spring Breaks will fall. But we have found the Star Wars race weeks to not be too crowded!

@85glht it is nice how they keep the Star Wars race away from Easter. It was WAY less crowded than marathon weekend. No worse than a May timeframe I would say, and in some ways better!

That’s great! Nothing worse than overly crowded theme parks

My gosh, that morning at Magic Kingdom sounds chaotic (but fun)! So much walking across the park! :surprised: And to have it done before Express to the TTC even opens! That is craaaaazy! :surprised: :surprised:
Oh, I didn’t know you still got to see Teri on this trip! I’m so glad that you did though!
I’m also very glad you got to see Impressions de France for the first time! Isn’t it just so relaxing and amazing?!? ;)
Oh noooo about the Magicband! That’s a serious thing to lose! :surprised: :surprised: :surprised:

It was a fun and busy morning at MK for sure!!! We like to get our steps in! ;) We were super speedy! Yep! I got to see Teri just for these few hours. I was thankful we still had that day to see each other! I did like Impressions de France! It was nice and relaxing! Teri was super bummed about her Magic Band. Luckily she still had her old AP band at home that she’s been using. Since you have to have your finger print and/or pin to use it, no one else can do much with it. Which is a good thing. And you can’t link an already linked band to another account. But she was so sad about loosing her new red one!
