    Monday October 2nd:
7am alarm and we SLOW GOING! We didn’t intend to hit rope drop at AK at 9am, but knew we wouldn’t be too late. We were down to breakfast at 8:30am. On a bus to AK at 9:20am. It was strange because we had to board a charter bus, similar idea to a magical express bus, instead of a standard Disney transport bus. I wonder if it’s due to all the buses we saw broken down during our trip. But it was comfy at least! We were thru the turnstiles by 9:45am. We went back to use our safari FP at 10am. Then Starbucks for caffeine!! Then explored Pandora again while waiting for our FoP FP at 11:20am. Wow! Just wow!!!! We were blown away by this ride! I nearly cried just due to all of the sensory aspects, it was just beautiful!!!! We got off and the standby was just 90 minutes, which is low for FoP. We both agreed it was well worth it, plus we wanted to see the standby queue! We lucked out and were on in just under and hour!!! Still just as amazing the 2nd time!!! We then had lunch at the Cantina again. This time we shared a beef and rice bowl with creamy herb dressing. Oh, I had discovered during our meal on Friday that their slaw has zucchini in it and I’m allergic! My tongue was tingly and throat scratchy. I didn’t see zucchini listed as an ingredient. But I stopped eating it immediately. So we knew to ask them to omit the slaw this time! We also got the chocolate cake. We liked the bowl and dessert, but the pods and blueberry dessert won out by just a bit in our opinion! Since we didn’t get to ride Na’vi on Friday, we went to the standby line and it was posted as 75 minutes. So we got a frozen slush and filled our drinks and stopped by the restroom before getting in line. We got in line at 2:15pm and it took the exact 75 minutes to board. I caught up on d-cot a bit while in line! ;) Let’s just say this was a one and done ride for us, unless the line is short. It was a beautiful ride, but it was short, slow and not all that exciting. Underwhelmed. We did a few photo pass pics in Pandora before heading to the aid station for Ryan. He is very sensitive to bug bites and heat rash issues. Well, he got bit by some gnats yesterday and his whole calf was red and swollen. They gave him some anti inflammatory since he had already bought Benadryl at the gift shop at our resort. But it didn’t seem to help. Poor guy, it happens on most hot weather trips. Thankfully, it doesn’t hurt or itch much. We then trecked over to Everest for our 4:10 FP. We then went to watch Tough to Be A Bug for the 4:45pm show, we haven’t watched since 2009 or 2010! I forgot how much it hurts when they poke your back! Yikes! We then stopped for pics at Tree of Life. We then hopped a bus to HS at 5:15pm. Ryan wanted a specific Star Wars Vinylmation set and it’s only available at the Launch Bay store. Had we realized it sooner, we would have picked it up the other day! So he made his pic and then we stopped for the essential Mickey Bar because we hadn’t had one yet!! :surprised: So yum!!!!

We then caught a bus to Disney Springs. I had saved money I received for my birthday to buy a new Vera Bradley Purse. I love mine, but it’s wearing out. We stopped in the Vera Bradley store and they didn’t have any Disney ones in the purse style I wanted. We checked in World of Disney later and they don’t have any Vera Bradley. In the parks they didn’t have the style or fabric I wanted either. In the Vera Bradley store the employee said they haven’t been told if/when they will get more in and everyone is out on property. I was so sad! We went to DeLux Burger for dinner and go a combo with two burgers an order of fries and two drinks for just over $20! A great price and great food! We stopped in Fit to Run again because Ryan wanted to see a different shoe that was releasing that day. We then stopped in the Star Wars Store. Then Erin McKenna’s for a Gluten free mint frosted brownie and a cookies & cream donut for breakfast. Oh my goodness gracious, that brownie was insanely good!!! Best brownie ever!!!!! Walked through the World of Disney store again. We also walked through that fancy chocolate shop but didn’t get anything, one day I will!!! Then Ghirradellis for Ryan, salted caramel sundae! Then the Co-Op and Christmas store. We were to the boat dock to go back to Riverside by 9:15pm. Back to our room by 9:50pm. We head home tomorrow, so we had to get packed up tonight to drop off our bags in the morning. Lights out 11:30pm.

Flight of Passage is such an awesome and revolutionary ride! I don’t blame you for crying!
You two are troops as well! Somehow you made it through allergic reactions and swollen calves! :wol:
Na’vi River Journey is a 25 or under wait for me. Amazing, but short and a underwhelming.
I’ve never experienced the poke on the back of Tough to be a Bug. I always lean my back forward on “accident” and then realize I didn’t go through it! But I love the bugs at the end of the ride that go under the bum! :goofy:
What a fiasco at Disney Springs! Sorry about the purse!
With all your talk about Erin McKenna’s, I may have to try it soon! :cupcake:
When you say “fancy chocolate store,” are you referring to the Ganachery? :goofy:

@sej101 We were so blown away by FoP!! They outdid themselves! We do our best to be Troopers and Ryan is a super Trooper! ;) Poor guy deals with this on many of our trips. Try to remember to sit back next time you see Tough to be a Bug! Then again, don’t! LOL I do love the bugs under the bum too! LOL I haven’t given up hope on finding the purse yet! I seriously love Erin McKenna’s!!! Just ask what’s corn free for you! The fancy chocolate store we went in is the one by World of Disney. Amorette Patisserie.

I don’t see us re-visiting It’s Tough to be a bug soon :goofy: But if I do, I’ll try to remember to lean my back against the seat
I wish asking for corn free stuff was as easy as it sounds. Corn derivatives are hidden everywhere and sometimes isn’t listed as an ingredient. The FDA has some really dumb rules that affect the growing number of corn allergens  But it’s worth a shot :santamickey:
Amorette’s is fancy! I just stand back so no damage is done LOL

You are absolutely correct on how hard it is to find corn listed! I hope they resolve labeling issues soon! People suffer from so many different food allergies nowadays, I don’t know why in earth they still hide ingredients! It makes me :donald: ! I do know that Erin McKenna’s has a website and delivers. So I wonder if they have a better full list of ingredients or you can contact them first?
Amorette’s is so fancy! It all looks too pretty to eat!

Oh my gosh I remember Ryan’s ankles and calves! Poor guy! FoP is just so amazing! Lauren and I have been fortunate to ride it 4 times so far and just love it more each time! We get to see and feel more of it each time too. Yes, it’s that good that I keep track of the number of times I’ve ridden it! Navi was good but we were fortunate enough to have a FP for it. I wouldn’t wait long for it either. So sorry you haven’t been able to find your purse.

Poor Ryan is right!! I can’t blame you for keeping count of how many times you’ve ridden FoP!! It’s amazing! I’ve ridden it twice and can’t wait for #3 in two weeks!! I would ride Na’vi with a FP or under a 30 minute wait. But not 75 minutes again! I hope to find my purse online at this point! We saw some listed but then they all sold out. Fingers crossed!
