    Saturday September 30th:
7:15am alarm was a bit rough after that super late night! But Kailey was a trooper! We ate breakfast in the food court. In MK by 9:30am. We didn’t plan to rope drop it since we knew we would all be tired from last night. We went to Space and were on in 10 min. This ride makes Kailey nervous and she wanted to chicken out just before boarding. But Ryan talked her through it all and calmed her down. He’s great with her and she did great! Unfortunately the ride broke down right at the end before the unloading zone. Due to this issue, our photo never synced up! Which made us sad since Kailey actually rode it! On our way to Thunder, we ran into two Country Bears and got some pics! Thunder had a 30 minute wait. We pulled out the cool clothes from our pack. It was already so hot! My legs were dripping sweat! We then took another ride on Thunder with our FP’s! Then we went to Starbucks for caffeine!!! Then to Pinocchio’s for lunch. I had a gluten free flatbread and everyone else had standard ones. It so yummy! Then off to Jungle for our 12:30pm FP’s! We walked around the Pirates shop for 15 minutes while we waited for our Pirates window to open at 1pm. Cruised on Pirates, the camera wasn’t working for our pic today. Then off to meet Minnie & Daisy with a 25 minute wait. We took the train to Main Street and caught a bit of the parade. We went in to see Tink with just a 5 minute wait! So here’s the tip folks, meet Tink during the parade!! My niece had discovered on a previous trip that there is a thimble in the meet and greet room with Tink that has our last name on it “Gutierrez”! She sent me a pic! So we knew we needed to get our picture with it! Kailey took our picture with it. We pointed it out to Tink and she looked at it and asked if she could still keep it even though it had our name on it. We said it was fine! We then walked through Main Street Shops while we waited for Steve, Chelle and the kids to arrive. They were almost into the park, so we worked our way back to Pecos Bills around 3pm! We were going to do the nacho challenge, and today was its final day! We were told it would be 1.5 hours and we all agreed that we would do it! Well, that 1.5 hours turned into 3! During that time, Teri and Kailey had to leave because Kailey had to get to a mandatory dance practice. They were bummed to miss out on the nachos and we had really needed their help! Now there were just 4 adults and 3 young kiddos. It was just $72 for this massive platter of nachos, pitchers of drinks, sheriff’s badges, and a certificate for Team D-Cot! We put a dent into it, but didn’t even come close! They gave Steve and Chelle to go boxes and they had leftovers a few times over!!! We finished around 7:30pm. We walked them to the front. It was just starting to rain, so we went and rode Carousel of Progress followed by the People Mover! Tonight was our chance to see the new Happily Ever After Fireworks. It was still going to go on, even with the rain. We loved the new show!!! It was amazing!! It was a bit challenging to see it all with umbrellas up, but it was still great! There was a very slow mass exodus to the buses due to the rain and umbrellas being up. But we were on a bus by 9:45pm. We stopped at the food court to fill up our mug and water bottles. We were in our room by 10:30pm. Teri and Kailey had already gotten back to our room and were staying the night again. They were asleep when we got there. Lights out by 11pm.

I’ve noticed that anything near the parade during the parade tends to be less crowded. Town Square Theater, Country Bear Jamboree, just to name a few. :tink:
I’m sad to see the Nacho challenge go, but at least you and Team D-Cot tried, and that’s all that counts!
Did Happily Ever After fire the fireworks during the rain as well? I’ve heard that if it’s raining they’ll just do the projections :beast:

You are absolutely correct! We just didn’t realize the wait dropped that low!
Yes, Team D-Cot gave a valiant effort!!!
They did fireworks and projections! Since this is the only time we’ve seen it, I can’t tell you if they did the normal amount or less. We hope to catch it in two weeks again!

Oh my gosh, I remember the wait for the nacho challenge! Great job you guys! I love these, it’s like reliving your trip all over again! I just love HEA. Never did I think something could top Wishes but I was wrong.

Thankfully the wait went pretty fast! We had great company! And it was inside and air conditioned!!! Maybe that’s why the wait went quickly?! I agree!! I loved Wishes but we were blown away by HEA!!!

I’m so jealous you got to meet some of the Bears!!! That is GREAT!

I have not heard of the nacho challenge before. Sounds like it must be a big plate!

    Very cool about the thimble!

The Bears have been out early in the day on our last few trips!! Sadly the nacho challenge has currently ended. We heard that it is supposed to leave Pecos Bills and will reappear somewhere else in Magic Kingdom. But it was massive!!! You could easily feed 8 adults and still not finish it!!! My 12 year old niece discovered the thimble last year! They live in Orlando and she loves to go visit the characters. She happened to notice it when they were in line! So we’re famous!! LOL
