Friday November 6th:
6am alarm but awake a bit before. Showered and ate in our room. Out to MK bus stop at 7:15am. A bit farther back in line than yesterday but not by much. They started buses at 7:40am instead of 8am today! So we were on the bus at 7:50am and on Main Street at 8:15am. Music switched to Christmas! The Christmas décor was up yesterday but the music was standard MK music. Today it was all Christmas! It was so awesome to experience them just one day apart from each other! They opened Thunder at 8:25am with a 9am park opening. We were on and off quickly. We rode a second time and were off by 9am! In line for Splash and off by 9:40am. This is likely our final time riding it before the changeover happens switching it to Tiana themed. We left S&K to head to Space. We saw Chip and Dale above Country Bears waving at guests on our way. We also saw Sam the Eagle in the window in Liberty Square. So fun to see characters out in a different way! Space with a 40 min wait. We were wrapped around the stage in Tomorrowland and near Carousel of Progress. But it moved fairly quickly. We grabbed a quick snack of tots and cheese at Friar Nook. S&K met us there. Walked by and saw Santa Stitch on the stage in Tomorrowland! We then took a break in Carousel of Progress and enjoyed the show. They corrected the music to be working correctly compared to our January trip! So that was good. We needed Starbucks. It was a long line and down the alley, but it was really just a 20 minute wait from getting in line until we had drinks in hand. We mobile ordered nachos at Pecos before heading to SB. We saw one of the Christmas cavalcades from line at SB. We then saw Rabbit, Piglet and Eeyore outside of Crystal Palace, waving from the porch. The restaurant wasn’t open. Our mobile order was ready for Pecos. There were no tables anywhere to be seen. But I managed to find one inside by Tortugas so we had air conditioning. It was warm out. S&K left after lunch to meet Robyn and her family. Ryan sat and sipped our drinks a little longer. We walked around a bit and saw Jiminy Cricket above Pinocchio’s waving at guests. We went to Hall of Presidents for an AC break. We had to wait for the next show. It was over 80* outside. With the masks it made it a bit warmer. Lines were super long everywhere since it was the first day of Christmas stuff and all the bloggers were there. We then saw Gonzo and his chickens in the window! Over to Country Bears and S&K met us in line there. We saw Merida go by on Angus followed by the princess float. We saw Big Al and Liver Lips waving above Country Bears. Over to the Tiki Room. S&K left for the day. It was around 4pm. Ryan and I got strawberry soft serve at Sunshine Terrace. So yum! Haunted with a 45 min posted time. We got in line all the way near Country Bears, it was so stretched out! It ended up being a 40 min wait. Buss with a posted 40 min wait. We were in line at 5:55pm and were on in 10 min. I got a 360k score, much better than my last time of 160k. Ryan got 663k. Mobile ordered Cosmic Rays bacon cheeseburger and their spicy chicken sandwich. We then saw the new Christmas castle projections. They are so cool! Over to Thunder at 7:30pm, posted 65 min wait. At 7:50pm they announced it was down and we all had to leave the line. We went to Space with a posted 40 min wait at 8:05pm and we were on by 8:20pm. We got pics on the way out. I said goodbye to my castle and MK since it was our last day in MK on this trip. We were on a bus in 5 minutes or so, even with it being park closing time. They really did a great job on having buses lined up and ready to go to get the lines short and keep them short. Back to Pop at 9:15pm. Lights out by 10:15pm.
