    Times and conditions change so rapidly that we must keep our aim constantly focused on the future.

    This applies to this site too. Things will always be changing; you just have to keep swimming. :dory:

    I only “liked” things that I actually liked. :) If someone added a song I don’t enjoy or don’t know, I didn’t “like” it. And I have been around a long time as a listener but not an engager. In fact, before we were asked to be a “supporter” I think I donated once or twice when they just asked for help. But I only did the music. I only recently started engaging and my first step was to “like” things as I tried to learn the personalities of people, how the site functioned, and started having a little fun building points. It doesn’t really matter. I’m a supporter so experience level means nothing other than just the fun of it. I still can enjoy the music.

    I do wish there was a place that actually gave the “rules” of earning points. For someone trying to figure it out, it is difficult to just “get it” by osmosis. And the rules I have learned on my own in a short time have already changed twice, with no announcement or explanation. They just quietly change until someone reports a bug only to find out it wasn’t a bug, but a secret change. But I also understand that this site requires enough work for the person who runs it and it likely is not their full-time job but a passion and a gift to those of us who love Disney.

    So I’m really not trying to be a whiny baby! It is just the reality of being someone “new” trying to figure it all out when it is a moving target that can’t be.

    LOL @Jloosh78

    @Ferg
    , before the site moved to this new design it was actually far less predictable when it came to leveling up. I like having some predictability now, but not a crazy amount. I enjoy the “get involved and you’ll level up” mentality with no strings attached…though I admit the gamer in me does enjoy tracking how far away I am to the next level. So I think this is a good compromise…of course as you said though, being a supporter makes leveling up pretty much unnecessary for any practical reason. But I LOVE that too because it encourages people to really invest in the site if they like it that much which clearly we do! :)

    @Jloosh78 Like a babbling brook, eh? You know you don’t have to go around the barn to say I’m a blabber mouth, just go ahead and say it ;) LOL

    I agree. I feel strongly that anyone who uses the site, streams the music, etc. much at all should help contribute to keep it running. It is just the right thing to do to help.

    I am the only person who runs this site. It’s a one-man show. It’s a part-time hobby. I do the best I can. :) I could definitely compile a list of how you get points, but the idea behind it was that you should just engage the community and getting points was a bonus, not a reward. When the site changed over and people could see the leaderboard, it turned into a race to who could get to the top first. I’m OK with this as it adds another meta to the site. The quiet changes are done because I want to see who actually cares about it and making an announcement gets forgotten. I tend to make corrections quickly when reported. This is not a huge community, but it’s a close-knit one. I love that about it.

    Thank to all expressing their opinions in this thread without it getting “out of hand”. :clap:

    I’ll miss leveling up… LOL

    But in all seriousness, thanks for providing a really cool place to enjoy the world of Disney (and its music in particular!). I can’t imagine how much work your part-time hobby takes, but I’m glad that you love it. Cuz I do, too. :luke:

    @PA_Timkeeper, you’ll still level up, it just may take a little longer without getting points for likes.

    And, thanks @steve! You are the best! :mint:

    Like Steve said, the “rules” of earning points are not listed because that encourages people to only do certain things to get points, and not actually contribute. Getting points is a bonus, not a reward, and if you engage in the community you will keep getting points. It also saves Steve the work of having to edit that list every time the points system changes. Removing features and having them no longer give points is usually done quickly because of a fault or problem with that feature. It’s not a sleight of hand to “catch you out” or make things harder. What remains the same is that it will always take 100 points to level up. Like I said, if you stay active, you will keep getting points in many different ways :ears:
