We’ve been thankful to have usually good and consistent Mousekeeping. We did notice on our stay at CB in January that they didn’t replenish our shampoo and soap every day. It was usually every other day. I always stash them after we receive them in hopes of getting more the next day. My 12 year old niece loves them and uses them regularly at home. So I was bummed that I couldn’t give her more. But that’s just a nit picky thing and it wasn’t like we were counting on it to shower with each day! They could clearly see our own products in the shower. LOL

I have never had a issue with Mousekeeping on any of my visits to WDW. Always courteous, rooms are clean, and ready to help in any way.

No kidding! you paid for that stuff.
The nightly rate includes all that stuff.
They don’t discount your nightly rate based on the number of nights you stay.
BTW we always leave a nice tip for the mousekeeper.
It’s usually left on a piece of paper with a “thank you” and any additional stuff we might want, e.g., extra towels or six pack of cold beer!!!!!!!!!

Going as many times as we do we have run in to a few issues but not really that bad. I am on several Disney related sites and it seems as if there are more and more people who have had issues. I guess this is why Disney has decided to do something about it…smjj

This last visit at Movies I asked for more drinking cups and shampoos on a little note left with the tip, every day we had extra soaps, shampoos, cups, towels and they’d make towel displays with my kids stuffed animals. :)

Mousekeeping during our cash reservations hasn’t been too bad for us (4 trips of varying lengths between Oct. 2015 & Sep. 2016). My parents had an issue at CBR where their room was not clean (dirty towels, washcloths, etc. on the floor) upon arrival, and they actually waited longer than my brother or I. During that same trip, we had a lady from Mousekeeping knock on our door 3 separate times between 8 and 10 am on our departure day, wondering if we were out yet. It was only a minor annoyance, but you’d have thought that after I told her we’d be out by 10:15, she would have waited until at least 10 before coming back after the first time. Other than that trip, we have had great luck.

We’re new DVC members, and during or first DVC trip at Saratoga Springs this past November, we did have a couple of small issues. Maybe I’m incorrect, but I thought that Mousekeeping was supposed to come every day and refill your coffee supplies. That was the first thing, albeit relatively small. I only had coffee in the room one day because I didn’t have anymore stuff to make it. Like I said, that one was pretty small, and I could have just misunderstood how it works with the replenishing of supplies. The second issue bothered me a little more. We stayed 6 nights, and at no point did we even have trash and towel service. Our trash was pretty full by the end of that trip. Now, since then, I’ve learned that there are supposed to be more bags under the one actually lining the trash cans, and that there is also supposed to be a trash room or something where you can actually take out the trash. I definitely understand and am ok with the whole service level as it is spelled out in the DVC contract, etc., but if we’re supposed to be getting service at a certain level, I would prefer to get that level of service. Like others, I don’t want Annual Dues to go up because of extra visits, but I would like to get the visits that my Dues are supposed to cover.

Either way, I was glad when I saw that Disney was looking at revamping Mousekeeping.

@kellyda3 If you’re staying on points, I think they are supposed to replenish your coffee supplies only when they do Trash & Towel or weekly cleaning visits. When we’re there they don’t even touch the room until after our 3rd night. After your 3rd night you are supposed to get the Trash and Towel which replenishes soaps (and coffee supplies too I think) so they dropped the ball big time there. I think after 7 nights you’re supposed to get a full cleaning. and the cycle continues if you stay longer than that.

Thanks @RocketEAR99! I definitely wasn’t sure on the coffee replenishment, but I did think for 6 nights, I should have gotten Trash & Towel service at least once. The only thing I can think is that we did do a morning pool day in the middle of our stay, so maybe we were in the room when they normally would have come for the Trash & Towel.

this is why the last time we stayed i enjoyed being back in the “hotel” side. it was so nice to come back to a made bed, fresh coffee, empty trash and new soaps every day after the parks. oh and some nice new towel animals :)

@kellyda3 – We’ve gotten 2 different responses from Mousekeeping when our room was “inaccessible” during Trash and Towel day (either we were in the room or left the “Do not disturb” sign on the door). In two cases they left a couple of bags or a laundry basket full of fresh towels and soaps by the door. In the other, they left us a voicemail saying to call them when we were ready for delivery of fresh towels and soaps. So in any case, they dropped the ball for you.

I have never had any Mousekeeping issues either as a paying customer or a DVC member. If we happen to be in the room at the time the MK’s make there rounds than thats on us. All it would take is a simple phone call to let them know when to come back and what you need. And to be honest unless I need a towel in a pinch I can’t see a reason to have them come. We do our own laundry, shopping, and housekeeping during our stay. Just my 2 cents.
