I agree with all that has been said. I find it interesting that we all have such vivid moustalgia cues.

I have a few additional – sitting on the balcony of my room at the Swanphin in the middle of the night and just inhaling the sweet night air and the small of plants and flowers (can you tell I am at WDW during the winter and fall?). Also the smell of flower carpet around the LAke in Epcot during the Flower and Garden Fest. Finally the Roses at MK & Epcot are such a key for me.

Walking along The Boardwalk while it’s still early in the morning, joggers running by, the Bakery churning out the first customers of the day. The total serenity of doing that every morning is a vacation tradition for me.

we are return visitors to The Swan (3 trips) and I have similar moments there. We always get a balcony room and there’s nothing like it.

I really do love to sit out in the quiet part of the night (I don’t sleep) and enjoy the beauty if the resort. We are mostly at the Swan now as they treat us like family and go over and above to make my MIL who is wheelchair bound feel like royalty.

I love the smell of popcorn at the parks, it smells so much better than popcorn at the movie theater!

After the suns sets in World Showcase. I love when the lights come on. It seems so peaceful to me.

Here’s another one, Standing on the Future World end of the rose path in Epcot listening to the Innoventions Loop of music. It is why I listen to that loop whenever I can. It brings me right to that spot and the sun, flowers and especially the roses – heaven! :)

One that I will forever miss is the lobby of the Polynesian. The sound & smell of the waterfall, the way people were funneled around it in close proximity, the feeling of Ohana as strangers exchanged alohas.

Another Moustalgia-inducing experience for me is Innoventions Plaza and the Spaceship Earth area at night. The perfect blend of light & dark. The futuristic appearance blended with 80’s modern. The fact it still stirs the awe I experienced at age 5.

The smell of Rome burning in Spaceship Earth! That coal and burning paper smell is one-of-a-kind in that ride!
