Me again! Somehow in the switch to the new system, the number of allowed favorites (or my experience level) seems to have changed, such that I’m at or over the max number of songs I can have in my playlist. That directly is not a problem, but I don’t seem to be able to remove songs from my favorites playlist either!

My hearts used to be red, of course, and I could click on one to remove a song from my playlist. Now, clicking on it only takes me to the FAQ page.

Any advice for me on removing songs so I can get back to being within my limit?

    Thanks!!!

You can remove them from the My Playlist link in the main nav up top. Hover over “Jukebox” to get there. This reminds me I need to make it easier to remove a song from that area.

So when you’re in the My Playlists screen and you click on the heart with a minus sign on it your song is not removed?

Correct…unless I’m missing something. Now I don’t even see the hearts. I’m not able to add, remove, or rate songs.

I think it may have to do with the “OSU” part of your name. ;) Hook ’em Horns! :)

Interesting, especially since you’re a supporter now. In the My Playlists (when you hover Jukebox and choose it from the dropdown) you can add and remove songs. Rating songs are done in the jukebox when listening to a song.

I seem to have all of the same issues as RenMan. Since the update several of my favorites are missing and I am unable to add new songs to favorites and shuffle does not work either. I’ve tried in Firefox and Chrome. Help me!!

@supersuperwendy I see that you have an experience level of 8 which allows for 90 favorites. You are not a supporter which allows for unlimited favorites. All experience levels were cut in half when the site was converted as it’s a lot easier to gain experience levels. Here is a link to favorites and experience levels: https://www.d-cot.com/topic/experience-level-badges/

So that explains why you only have 90 favorites, and why you had more on the old site. Once you have a higher experience level or if you become a supporter you’ll be able to add more. I don’t know about the shuffle but Steve can probably answer that for you. It may have to do with the extra favorites. Hope that helps!

The shuffle feature breaks in that situation. I have to fix this.

I have the same problem as RenMan and supersuperwendy. I cannot remove favorited songs. The heart is greyed out and there isn’t any ‘heart with a minus sign’ that Steve said there should be. Thanks for your time and all that you do for this site!!

You have to remove favorites by going to My Playlists located in the main Jukebox dropdown. Since supporters can have multiple playlists, removing from the usual spot is no longer an option. I’ll have to come up with a more intuitive option for non-supporters. Perhaps just adding back the remove in that spot for those types of accounts.
